Summary: Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/rocksdb/pull/15076 Fix the `io_activity == Env::IOActivity::kUnknown || io_activity == options.io_activity` assertion failure in the crash test. The crash occurs because `TestMultiGetEntity` in `no_batched_ops_stress.cc` changes the thread operation to `OP_GETENTITY` during its consistency-check phase (the `check_results` lambda calls `SetThreadOperation(OP_GETENTITY)` before calling `GetEntity` for comparison). When `MaybeTestMultiGetEntityLazy` is called afterward, it invokes `MultiGetEntityLazy` which correctly sets `read_options.io_activity = kMultiGetEntity`, but the thread operation is still stale at `OP_GETENTITY`. The debug assertion in `DbStressRandomAccessFileWrapper::Read` then sees `TEST_GetExpectedIOActivity(OP_GETENTITY) = kGetEntity != kMultiGetEntity` and aborts. The fix restores `SetThreadOperation(OP_MULTIGETENTITY)` before each call to `MaybeTestMultiGetEntityLazy` in `TestMultiGetEntity`. Triggered by commit cb73fc845fe0 which added the `MaybeTestMultiGetEntityLazy` calls. The `--lazy_entity_read_one_in=100` flag (non-default) enables this code path. RocksDB: A Persistent Key-Value Store for Flash and RAM Storage
RocksDB is developed and maintained by Facebook Database Engineering Team. It is built on earlier work on LevelDB by Sanjay Ghemawat (sanjay@google.com) and Jeff Dean (jeff@google.com)
This code is a library that forms the core building block for a fast key-value server, especially suited for storing data on flash drives. It has a Log-Structured-Merge-Database (LSM) design with flexible tradeoffs between Write-Amplification-Factor (WAF), Read-Amplification-Factor (RAF) and Space-Amplification-Factor (SAF). It has multi-threaded compactions, making it especially suitable for storing multiple terabytes of data in a single database.
