Summary: Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/rocksdb/pull/15001 Add IODispatcher-specific histograms for async read observed completion latency, `FileSystem::Poll` wait time, and submit-to-consumer-poll prefetch lead time. Record submit timestamps on async read state, report completion latency from the callback, and report poll wait/prefetch lead when the block consumer polls the handle. Keep Java histogram byte mappings stable by assigning the new histogram IDs after the existing range. Add a controlled async filesystem test that verifies one deferred async read records all three histograms. Address Infer feedback by iterating `async_state->block_indices` directly when removing async IO map entries. Keep `PollAndProcessAsyncIO()` holding an owning `shared_ptr<AsyncIOState>` while erasing those entries so the coalesced request state cannot be destroyed mid-loop. Format `util/io_dispatcher_imp.cc` and `util/io_dispatcher_test.cc` with clang-format 21.1.2 to fix the format signal. RocksDB: A Persistent Key-Value Store for Flash and RAM Storage
RocksDB is developed and maintained by Facebook Database Engineering Team. It is built on earlier work on LevelDB by Sanjay Ghemawat (sanjay@google.com) and Jeff Dean (jeff@google.com)
This code is a library that forms the core building block for a fast key-value server, especially suited for storing data on flash drives. It has a Log-Structured-Merge-Database (LSM) design with flexible tradeoffs between Write-Amplification-Factor (WAF), Read-Amplification-Factor (RAF) and Space-Amplification-Factor (SAF). It has multi-threaded compactions, making it especially suitable for storing multiple terabytes of data in a single database.
