This is allowed:

  STRING_WITH_LEN("string literal")

This is not:

  char *str = "pointer to string";
  ... STRING_WITH_LEN(str) ..

In C++ this is also allowed:

  const char str[] = "string literal";
  ... STRING_WITH_LEN(str) ...
