Daniel Black 20512a68d8 MDEV-23175: my_timer_milliseconds ftime deprecated - clock_gettime replacement
Linux glibc has deprecated ftime resutlting in a compile error on Fedora-32.

Per manual clock_gettime is the suggested replacement. Because my_timer_milliseconds
is a relative time used by largely the perfomrance schema, CLOCK_MONOTONIC_COARSE
is used. This has been available since Linux-2.6.32.

The low overhead is shows in the unittest:

Live QA for beginner contributors

MariaDB has a dedicated time each week when we answer new contributor questions live on Zulip and IRC. From 8:00 to 10:00 UTC on Mondays, and 10:00 to 12:00 UTC on Thursdays, anyone can ask any questions theyd like, and a live developer will be available to assist.

New contributors can ask questions any time, but we will provide immediate feedback during that interval.
