    위해 (<em>예를 들어</em> '특별한' 사용자 아이디 'anonymous'와
    전자우편 주소를 암호로 사용하는) 익명-ftp 사이트와 유사한
    사용자 인증을 한다. 전자우편 주소를 로그에 기록할 수 있다.</p>

    <p>다른 (데이터베이스) 접근제어 방식과 함께 사용하여
    '등록하지않은' 사용자에게 사이트를 열어두면서 효율적인 사용자
    추적과 사용자정의가 가능하다. 인증기반 사용자 추적은 쿠키나
    괴상한 URL 접두사/접미사와 달리 완전히 브라우저 독립적이고
    사용자가 URL을 공유할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.</p>

    <p><module>mod_auth_basic</module>을 사용할때 <directive
    module="mod_auth_basic">AuthBasicProvider</directive>의
    값으로 <code>anon</code>을 설정하면 이 모듈을 사용한다.</p>

    <p>다음 예는 "일반적인" htpasswd-파일기반 인증에 추가로
    사용자가 다음 조건을 만족한다면 '손님(guest)'으로 접근할
    수 있도록 한다:</p>

    사용자 아이디들을 공백으로 구분한다. 따옴표 '와 "나 탈출문자
    \를 사용하여 사용자 아이디 안에 공백을 포함할 수 있다.</p>

    <p>아이디는 <strong>대소문자를 구별하지않음</strong>을
    주의하라.<br />
    허용할 사용자 아이디에 특별한 사용자명인
    '<code>anonymous</code>'를 항상 포함하길 강력히 권한다.</p>
