43880ad962 OS/2: Provide a definition of AP_PLATFORM_REWRITE_ARGS_HOOK. 
NULL for now as ap_mpm_rewrite_args()'s -k function doesn't currently work on
OS/2.

0436304b2b OS/2: export inet_addr from the core for mod_proxy & anything else that uses

f1f5f01fdb Completely revamp configure so that it preserves the standard make 
variables CPPFLAGS, CFLAGS, CXXFLAGS, LDFLAGS and LIBS by moving
the configure additions to EXTRA_* variables.  Also, allow the user
to specify NOTEST_* values for all of the above, which eliminates the
need for THREAD_CPPFLAGS, THREAD_CFLAGS, and OPTIM.  Fix the setting
of INCLUDES and EXTRA_INCLUDES.  Check flags as they are added to
avoid pointless duplications.  Fix the order in which flags are given
on the compile and link lines.

anyway. This stops exports.c requiring it.

ee3fe477e3 *) fix inline handling. we had: apr_inline, APR_INLINE, USE_GNU_INLINE, and 
INLINE. Now, we just have APR_INLINE and APR_HAS_INLINE.
   - convert all usage
   - note that apr_general messed up the defn (compared to apr.h)
   - simplify the inline decision logic in os/*/os.h
   - simplify the code in os/*/os-inline.c

*) toss ap_checkconv() [no longer used]

files need to specifically include stdio.h, or a particular apr_*.h
   header.

d6490633eb Renamed all MODULE_EXPORT symbols to AP_MODULE_DECLARE and all symbols 
for CORE_EXPORT to AP_CORE_DECLARE (namespace protecting the wrapper)
  and retitled API_EXPORT as AP_DECLARE and APR_EXPORT as APR_DECLARE.
  All _VAR_ flavors changes to _DATA to be absolutely clear.
  Thank you Greg, for the most obvious suggestion.

4535bf853d Some enhancements for OS/2 ap_canonical_filename: 
- Log proper error message instead of error code on failure
- In case of error caused by an invalid file name, don't return an empty
  string as that tends to confuse things rather than make them better.
- Avoid using the very expensive ap_os_systemcase_canonical_filename()
  unless it's truely necessary.

99fa11cb5f Overall UNIX build system improvements: 
* Makefile header is now completely dynamic
* Absolute paths everywhere
  (fixes Tru64 support)
* Get rid of LTLIBRARY_SHARED_NAME rule in library.mk
  (fixes Irix support, untested)
* VPATH does not contain variables anymore
  (fixes UnixWare support)
* Remove inclusion of program.mk in support/Makefile.in
  (PROGRAM_NAME is empty => breaks Irix and others)
* Call REENTRANCY_FLAGS earlier, so that flags are passed to header checks
  (might fix OpenBSD pthread.h-detection, untested)
