9340c8c658 Add support for starting multiple fastcgi processes listening on a 
given socket.  This somewhat makes up for our lack of a good way to
manage connections to a given proxy backend.

* support/fcgistarter.c
  (main): Accept a new -N option that controls how many child procs
   we fork off.

1244039b4a Add a first cut at a fastcgi starter program. This does the appropriate 
daemonization and sockets magic to let a standard fastcgi program listen
on a TCP port.

Unfortunately due to some requirements of the FastCGI libraries and the
way APR process creation works this currently requires platform specific
code and thus only works on Unix systems.

* support/fcgistarter.c: New program.

* support: Add fcgistarter to svn:ignore.

* support/Makefile.in: Build fcgistarter.

5061d9fa92 No functional Change: Removing trailing whitespace. This also

811b2867ab A complete rewrite of support/logresolve.c: 
* Now uses APR
    * Supports IPv6 addresses
    * Slighty less hurtful on memory
    * archaic (but interesting) notes marked as historical
    * Will not perform very well without APR >= 1.3 due to
      lack of buffered file-io.

c5db9990f3 Add -t option to htcacheclean to clean out empty directories. 
* support/htcacheclean.c: Implement -t option.
* docs/man/htcacheclean.8, docs/manual/programs/htcacheclean.html.en,
  docs/manual/programs/htcacheclean.xml: Document -t option.

Justin did some minor tweaks as he agrees with Andreas and Rudiger that
apr_dir_remove should return an error if the directory isn't empty; hence,
remove the apr_dir_read calls.

4e21137318 Add the httxt2dbm utility to create DBM files for RewriteMap. This replaces the txt2dbm script in the manual, and allows the use of any available DBM format.

03bf1c3436 - Bring htcacheclean into sync with mod_disk_cache. It now has a very basic understanding of the Varied Headers file format, and will cleanup orphaned data files, or Vary Header Files that have expired.

8f9c95cb74 * support/ab.c: Rewrite SSL support so that it works reliably, and 
enable it by default when the --enable-ssl is passed to configure.
Adds support for -Z and -f arguments to tweak SSL protocol options.

10d2058ea4 One issue I repeatedly have with 3rd party module builds is that 
they may choose to build a platform-default library with the usual
  platform-default extension, as part of the compilation process.

  Modules built on HP/UX with the .sl extension, on OSX with .dylib,
  or on OS2 or Win32 with .dll are perfectly legitimate loadable
  modules, but don't pass muster with apxs.

  This patch allows any of the common source library extensions to
  be passed in, but makes .so the explicit target.  The behavior
  already works for .la origin files with an .so target name.

20d06d7a06 Reintroduce stack frame construction with /Oy- (removal was implied by /O2). 
This makes binaries far easier to debug, during operation and for post-crash
  .dmp analysis.  Do not alter /Gs optimizations per brane.

4800ec9ba7 Fix and prevent some segfaults in ab: 
* support/ab.c (main): Fail if given concurrency level greater than
number of requests, to prevent segfaults later.
(ssl_print_cert_info): Use the correct buffer size.
(ssl_start_connect): SSL_get_peer_cert_chain doesn't bump refcounts,
so don't free the cert chain here.
(test): Use both calloc parameters (unrelated cleanup).

1731589f3c * support/check_forensic: Fix script on platforms that do not have either
