Summary: GitHub Actions container jobs previously used a fixed 16 GB `/dev/shm` allocation regardless of runner size, while the clang-tidy container did not set one explicitly. This over-allocated shared memory on smaller runners and gave larger, more highly parallel runners no additional shared-memory capacity. Scale container shared memory to 2 GB per runner core across the PR, nightly, nightly-candidate, weekly, and clang-tidy workflows: - 4-core jobs use 8 GB. - 16-core jobs use 32 GB. - 32-core jobs use 64 GB. - The nightly-candidate ARM job uses 8 GB, matching its four-way build. The clang-tidy job now explicitly receives 8 GB. Existing unrelated container options, including the mini crash test's `nofile` limit, remain unchanged. ## Safety and compatibility This only changes container resource configuration for GitHub Actions jobs. It does not change RocksDB code, APIs, persistent formats, or non-containerized jobs. Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/rocksdb/pull/15284 Test Plan: - `make check-workflow-yaml` - `git diff --check upstream/main...2026_09_28_shm` Both checks pass. The CI workloads themselves were not executed locally, so the new shared-memory allocations will be exercised by PR and scheduled workflow runs.
