Code Activity

Use posix_fallocate() for new WAL files, where available.

Browse Source 
This function is more efficient than actually writing out zeroes to
the new file, per microbenchmarks by Jon Nelson. Also, it may reduce
the likelihood of WAL file fragmentation.
