pckReadTagNext() cut the high-order bits of the field id delta down to an unsigned int and added it to the last id without checking the result. A large delta could produce UINT_MAX, the id that marks the end of a container, or wrap to an id at or below the last id. Either one left the read out of step with the tags, which asserted in debug builds and misread fields in production builds.

Error when the id is not greater than the last id or is UINT_MAX.
