The Ceph RGW host was slow and unreliable to start, frequently returning connection failures and requiring long startup waits during documentation builds and integration tests. SeaweedFS starts in a few seconds, ships a much smaller multi-arch image, and supports S3 object versioning, which the repository target time feature requires. The image is pinned to 4.40 to include recent versioned-listing fixes. A single weed server command runs the master, volume, filer, and S3 gateway with TLS on 443, host-style addressing via s3.domainName, and the demo credentials in a mounted identity config, so no bootstrap script is needed. The entrypoint is overridden to run weed as root because the default drops to an unprivileged user that cannot bind 443. After a stanza delete on the versioned repository, SeaweedFS keeps listing the now-empty stanza prefix, so info reports missing stanza data rather than missing stanza path; the user guide output is updated to match.
