The MDEV-20265 commit e746f451d5
introduces DBUG_ASSERT(right_op == r_tbl) in
st_select_lex::add_cross_joined_table(), and that assertion would
fail in several tests that exercise joins. That commit was skipped
in this merge, and a separate fix of MDEV-20265 will be necessary in 10.4.
Fixed the following issues:
- Call info with HA_STATUS_CONST to ensure that (key_info->rec_per_key)
contains latest data
- Don't access rec_per_key if key_info->algorithm == HA_KEY_ALG_LONG_HASH
is in this case the rec_per_key points to uninitialized data
- Cleaned up code to avoid some extra 'if' and to make things more readable
- Updated test cases that used 'old' rec_per_key values
This fixes the following test failures related to index cardinality:
main.join main.stat_tables main.partition main.stat_tables_innodb
innodb.innodb_bug57252
- Initialize variables that could be used uninitialized
- Added extra end space to DbugStringItemTypeValue to get rid of warnings
from c_ptr()
- Session_sysvars_tracker::update() accessed unitialized memory if called
with NULL value.
- get_schema_stat_record() accessed unitialized memory if HA_KEY_LONG_HASH
was used
- parse_vcol_defs() accessed random memory for tables without keys.
Many InnoDB internal variables and counters were only exposed
in an unstructured fashion via SHOW ENGINE INNODB STATUS.
Expose more variables via SHOW STATUS. Many of these were
exported in XtraDB.
Also, introduce SHOW_SIZE_T and use the proper size for
exporting the InnoDB variables.
Remove some unnecessary indirection via export_vars, and
bind some variables directly.
dict_sys_t::rough_size(): Replaces dict_sys_get_size()
and includes the hash table sizes.

This patch fixes 10.2 issue reported in MDEV-16467 by partial backport of
c2118a0. Specifically "Remove not needed LOCK_thread_count from
thd_get_error_context_description()".
This commit adds a new feature to the server to add comments at the database
level. 1024 bytes is the maximum comment length allowed. If the comment length
exceeds this limit, a new error/warning code 4144 is thrown, based on whether
thd->is_strict_mode() is true/false. The database comment is also added to the
db.opt file, as well as to the information_schema.schemata table.

MDEV-16249 CHECKSUM TABLE for a spider table is not parallel and saves all data in memory in the spider head by default
This patch fixes an invalid read in fill_effective_table_privileges
triggered by a grant_version increase between a PREPARE for a
statement creating a view from I_S and EXECUTE.
A tmp table was created and free'd while preparing the statement,
TABLE_LIST::table_name was set to point to the tmp table
TABLE_SHARE::table_name which no longer existed after preparing was
done.
The grant version increase made fill_effective_table_privileges
called during EXECUTE to try fetch the updated grant info and
this is where the dangling table name was used.
The command SHOW INDEXES ignored setting of the system variable
use_stat_tables to the value of 'preferably' and and showed statistical
data received from the engine. Similarly queries over the table
STATISTICS from INFORMATION_SCHEMA ignored this setting. It happened
because the function fill_schema_table_by_open() did not read any data
from statistical tables.
This patch was originally made by Anel Husakovic.
Skip `PACKAGE` and `PACKAGE BODY` records quickly.
These stored objects do not have any parameters or return values
(only procedures and functions have).
So no needs to build a `CREATE` statement
(in `Sp_handler::sp_load_for_information_schema()`) and parse it:
this won't give us any data useful for `INFORMATION_SCHEMA.PARAMETERS`.
The MDEV-17262 commit 26432e49d3
was skipped. In Galera 4, the implementation would seem to require
changes to the streaming replication.
In the tests archive.rnd_pos main.profiling, disable_ps_protocol
for SHOW STATUS and SHOW PROFILE commands until MDEV-18974
has been fixed.
