--replace_regex /.prefix.sql.share.charsets[/\]/MYSQL_CHARSETSDIR/
select @@global.character_sets_dir;
The intention of the '[/\]' part was to replace both slash
'/' and backslash '\\', so it does not depend on the OS.
The pattern '[/\]' was actually wrong, because ']' is escaped
and should be considered as a part of the class, instead of
being a closing bracket for the class. However, due to some bug
in the old REGEX library it worked fine.
After switching to PCRE, mysqltest correctly complains about unbalaced '[]'.
The expected correct pattern should be '[/\\]'.
However, due to some bug in mysqltest, it eats consequetive baskslashes
in a strange way, so there is no a way to have to consequetive
backslashes after unescaping.
Workaround:
using [[:punct:]] as a pattern that matches both slash and backslash,
which should be fine for this test purposes.
Implement @@gtid_binlog_state. This is the internal state of the binlog
(most recent GTID logged for every domain_id and server_id). This allows
to save the state before RESET MASTER and restore it afterwards.
Following variables do not require LOCK_open protection anymore:
- table_def_cache (renamed to tdc_hash) is protected by rw-lock
LOCK_tdc_hash;
- table_def_shutdown_in_progress doesn't need LOCK_open protection;
- last_table_id use atomics;
- TABLE_SHARE::ref_count (renamed to TABLE_SHARE::tdc.ref_count)
is protected by TABLE_SHARE::tdc.LOCK_table_share;
- TABLE_SHARE::next, ::prev (renamed to tdc.next and tdc.prev),
oldest_unused_share, end_of_unused_share are protected by
LOCK_unused_shares;
- TABLE_SHARE::m_flush_tickets (renamed to tdc.m_flush_tickets)
is protected by TABLE_SHARE::tdc.LOCK_table_share;
- refresh_version (renamed to tdc_version) use atomics.

Fix:

BUG#12535301- SYS_VARS.RPL_INIT_SLAVE_FUNC MISMATCHES IN DAILY-5.5
Problem:
sys_vars.rpl_init_slave_func test was not recorded after
the last edit. It was disabled on 5.1 after seeing failures
due to the above reason.
No old failures as this suite never ran with pb2 on 5.1
Fix:
Added assert condition after wait for checks.
Recorded test and enabled it.

* introduce LOCK_share, now LOCK_ha_data is strictly for engines

* fix a 5.6 bug, temp file leak on dummy ALTER TABLE

When @@GLOBAL.gtid_strict_mode=1, then certain operations result
in error that would otherwise result in out-of-order binlog files
between servers.
GTID sequence numbers are now allocated independently per domain;
this results in less/no holes in GTID sequences, increasing the
likelyhood that diverging binlogs will be caught by the slave when
GTID strict mode is enabled.
Change of user interface to be more logical and more in line with expectations
to work similar to old-style replication.
User can now explicitly choose in CHANGE MASTER whether binlog position is
taken into account (master_gtid_pos=current_pos) or not (master_gtid_pos=
slave_pos) when slave connects to master.
@@gtid_pos is replaced by three separate variables @@gtid_slave_pos (can
be set by user, replicated GTIDs only), @@gtid_binlog_pos (read only), and
@@gtid_current_pos (a combination of the two, most recent GTID within each
domain). mysql.rpl_slave_state is renamed to mysql.gtid_slave_pos to match.
This fixes MDEV-4474.
- If one specifies --force twice to myisamchk and aria_chk, then we will try to finnish the repair even if sort_buffer would be too small.
This was done by dynamically allocate buffer handler objects as long as memory lasts.
- New option for myisamchk and aria_chk: create-missing-keys
- Changed default size of myisam_sort_buffer_size from 8M to 128M.
- Changed default size of sort_buffer_size in aria_chk from 128M to 256M.
- Increased information in error message about 'sort_buffer_size' beeing to small.
- Print also to 'show warnings' if repair was retried.
- Increased size of internal sort-buffer-readers from 16K to 128K
- Changed printing of 'number of records' to use %ll instead of casting to long
- Changed buffer sizes for myisam and aria to use MY_ALIGN_DOWN() to get same number of bytes allocated on different machines.

Change default for innodb_use_fallocate to FALSE, due to bugs in older Linux kernels (posix_fallocate() does not always guarantee that file size is like one specified)
Merge of 10.0-mdev26 feature tree into 10.0-base.
Global transaction ID is prepended to each event group in the binlog.
Slave connect can request to start from GTID position instead of specifying
file name/offset of master binlog. This facilitates easy switch to a new
master.
Slave GTID state is stored in a table mysql.rpl_slave_state, which can be
InnoDB to get crash-safe slave state.
GTID includes a replication domain ID, allowing to keep track of distinct
positions for each of multiple masters.
This fixes that by default LOAD DATA INFILE will not generate the error:
