12a6e0d90e Bug#11765139 58069: LOAD DATA INFILE: VALGRIND REPORTS INVALID MEMORY READS AND WRITES WITH U
Some multibyte sequences could be considered by my_mbcharlen() functions
as multibyte character but more exact my_ismbchar() does not think so.
In such a case this multibyte sequences is pushed into 'stack' buffer which
is too small to accommodate the sequence.
The fix is to allocate stack buffer in
compliance with max character length.

a8a757c6bb wl#173 - temporal types with sub-second resolution
and collateral changes.

* introduce my_hrtime_t, my_timediff_t, and conversion macros
* inroduce TIME_RESULT, but it can only be returned from Item::cmp_type(),
  never from Item::result_type()
* pack_time/unpack_time function for "packed" representation of
  MYSQL_TIME in a longlong that can be compared
* ADDTIME()/SUBTIME()/+- INTERVAL now work with TIME values
* numbers aren't quoted in EXPLAIN EXTENDED
* new column I_S.COLUMNS.DATETIME_PRECISION
* date/time values are compares to anything as date/time, not as strings or numbers.
* old timestamp(X) is no longer supported
* MYSQL_TIME to string conversion functions take precision as an argument
* unified the warnings from Field_timestamp/datetime/time/date/newdate store methods
* Field_timestamp_hires, Field_datetime_hires, Field_time_hires
* Field_temporal
* Lazy_string class to pass a value (string, number, time) polymorphically down the stack
* make_truncated_value_warning and Field::set_datetime_warning use Lazy_string as an argument, removed char*/int/double variants
* removed Field::can_be_compared_as_longlong(). Use Field::cmp_type() == INT_RESULT instead
* introduced Item::cmp_result() instead of Item::is_datetime() and Item::result_as_longlong()
* in many cases date/time types are treated like other types, not as special cases
* greatly simplified Arg_comparator (regarding date/time/year code)
* SEC_TO_TIME is real function, not integer.
* microsecond precision in NOW, CURTIME, etc
* Item_temporal. All items derived from it only provide get_date, but no val* methods
* replication of NOW(6)
* Protocol::store(time) now takes the precision as an argument
* @@TIMESTAMP is a double

dbb643d64e Bug #51876: crash/memory underrun when loading data with ucs2
and reverse() function

3 problems fixed :
1. The reported problem : caused by incorrect parsing of
the file as ucs data resulting in wrong length of the parsed
string. Fixed by truncating the invalid trailing bytes
(non-complete multibyte characters) when reading from the file
2. LOAD DATA when reading from a proper UCS2 file wasn't
recognizing the new line characters. Fixed by first looking
if a byte is a new line (or any other special) character before
reading it as a part of a multibyte character.
3. When using user variables to hold the column data in LOAD
DATA the character set of the user variable was set incorrectly
to the database charset. Fixed by setting it to the charset
specified by LOAD DATA (if any).

5dd5d70506 Bug#50373 --secure-file-priv=""
Iterative patch improvement. Previously committed patch
caused wrong result on Windows. The previous patch also
broke secure_file_priv for symlinks since not all file
paths which must be compared against this variable are
normalized using the same norm.

The server variable opt_secure_file_priv wasn't
normalized properly and caused the operations
LOAD DATA INFILE .. INTO TABLE ..
and
SELECT load_file(..)
to do different interpretations of the
--secure-file-priv option.

The patch moves code to the server initialization
routines so that the path always is normalized
once and only once.

It was also intended that setting the option
to an empty string should be equal to
lifting all previously set restrictions. This
is also fixed by this patch.

mysql-test/r/loaddata.result:
  * Removed test code which will currently break the much used --mem feature of mtr.
mysql-test/t/loaddata.test:
  * Removed test code which will currently break the much used --mem feature of mtr.
sql/item_strfunc.cc:
  * Replaced string comparing code on opt_secure_file_priv with an interface which guarantees that both file paths are normalized using the same norm on all platforms.
sql/mysql_priv.h:
  * Added signature for is_secure_file_path()
sql/mysqld.cc:
  * New function for checking if a path compatible with the secure path restriction.
  * Added initialization of the opt_secure_file_priv variable.
sql/sql_class.cc:
  * Replaced string comparing code on opt_secure_file_priv with an interface which guarantees that both file paths are normalized using the same norm on all platforms.
sql/sql_load.cc:

287fa3caf5 Bug #52512: Assertion `! is_set()' in Diagnostics_area::set_ok_status
on LOAD DATA

Two problems :
1. LOAD DATA was not checking for SQL errors and was sending an OK
packet even when there were errors reported already. Fixed to check for
SQL errors in addition to the error conditions already detected.
2. There was an over-ambitious assert() on the server to check if the
protocol is always followed by the client. This can cause crashes on
debug servers by clients not completing the protocol exchange for some
reason (e.g. --send command in mysqltest). Fixed by keeping the assert
only on client side, since the server always completes the protocol
exchange.

a9a2ceae1f Bug #51850: crash/memory overlap when using load data infile and set
col equal to itself!

There's no need to copy the value of a field into itself.
While generally harmless (except for some performance penalties)
it may be dangerous when the copy code doesn't expect this.
Fixed by checking if the source field is the same as the destination
field before copying the data.
Note that we must preserve the order of assignment of the null
flags (hence the null_value assignment addition).

conversions may not always match those obtained from older
server versions. This in turn may break compatibility for some
applications.

This patch also fixes the following bugs:
- bug #12860 "Difference in zero padding of exponent between
Unix and Windows"
- bug #21497 "DOUBLE truncated to unusable value"
- bug #26788 "mysqld (debug) aborts when inserting specific
numbers into char fields"
- bug #24541 "Data truncated..." on decimal type columns
without any good reason"

Initial import of the dtoa.c code and custom wrappers around it

2f082d9d42 Bug#37114: sql_mode NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES does not work properly with LOAD DATA INFILE
NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES was not heeded in LOAD DATA INFILE
and SELECT INTO OUTFILE. It is now.

mysql-test/r/loaddata.result:
  Show that SQL-mode NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES is heeded in
  INFILE/OUTFILE, and that dump/restore cycles work!
mysql-test/t/loaddata.test:
  Show that SQL-mode NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES is heeded in
  INFILE/OUTFILE, and that dump/restore cycles work!
sql/sql_class.cc:
  Add function to enquire whether ESCAPED BY was given.
  When doing SELECT...OUTFILE, use ESCAPED BY if specifically
  given; otherwise use sensible default value depending on
  SQL-mode features NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES.
sql/sql_class.h:
  Add function to enquire whether ESCAPED BY was given.
sql/sql_load.cc:
  When doing LOAD DATA INFILE, use ESCAPED BY if specifically
  given; otherwise use sensible default value depending on
  SQL-mode features NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES.

fb17cbe42e BUG#37858: loaddata,rpl_slave_skip,rpl_innodb_mixed_dml fail if datafile not world-readable
Problem 1: main.loaddata tried to trigger an error caused by
reading files outside the vardir, by reading itself. However,
if loaddata.test is not world-readable (e.g., umask=0077),
then another error is triggered.
Fix 1: allow the other error too.
Problem 2: rpl_slave_skip and rpl_innodb_mixed_dml tried to
copy a file from mysql-test/suite/rpl/data to mysql-test/var
and then read it. That failed too if umask=0077, since the
file would not become world-readable.
Fix 2: move the files from mysql-test/suite/rpl/data to
mysql-test/std_data and update tests accordingly. Remove
the directory mysql-test/suite/rpl/data.

mysql-test/r/loaddata.result:
  Updated result file.
mysql-test/std_data/rpl_bug28618.dat:
  Moved this file to std_data.
mysql-test/std_data/rpl_mixed.dat:
  Moved this file to std_data.
mysql-test/suite/rpl/data:
  Removed directory that is now unused.
mysql-test/suite/rpl/include/rpl_mixed_dml.inc:
  The rpl_mixed.dat file has been moved. Updated the test to
  use the new location.
mysql-test/suite/rpl/r/rpl_innodb_mixed_dml.result:
  Updated result file.
mysql-test/suite/rpl/r/rpl_slave_skip.result:
  Updated result file.
mysql-test/suite/rpl/t/rpl_slave_skip.test:
  The rpl_bug28618.dat file has been moved. Updated the test
  to use the new location.
mysql-test/t/loaddata.test:
  Allow more error messages. ER_TEXTFILE_NOT_READABLE may
  happen if the file is not world-readable (which may happen,
  e.g., if the user has umask=0077).
