Maintainer mode makes all warnings errors. This patch fix warnings. Mostly about
deprecated `register` keyword.
Too much warnings came from Mroonga and I gave up on it.
The test cases for the MDEV found several independent bugs
in MariaDB server and Aria:
- If a temporary table was marked as crashed, it could never
be deleted.
- Opening of a crashed temporary table gave an error message
but the error was never forwarded to the caller which caused
an assert() in my_ok()
- init_read_record() did mmap of all temporary tables, which is
probably not a good idea as this area can potentially be
very big. Changed code to only mmap internal temporary tables.
- mmap-ed tables where not unmapped in case of repair/optimize
which caused bad data in table and crashes if the original
table files where replaced with new ones (as the old mmap
was still in place). Fixed by removing the mmap in case
of repair.
- Cleaned up usage of code that disabled mmap in Aria
This patch includes:
- MDEV-19639 sql_mode=ORACLE: Wrong SHOW PROCEDURE output for sysvar:=expr
- MDEV-19640 Wrong SHOW PROCEDURE output for SET GLOBAL sysvar1=expr, sysvar2=expr
- Preparatory refactoring for MySQL WL#4179
Detailed change list:
1. Changing sp_create_assignment_lex() to accept the position
in the exact query buffer instead of a "bool no_lookahead".
This actually fixes MDEV-19639.
In the previous reduction sp_create_assignment_lex() was
called too late, when the parser went far the from beginning
of the statement, so only a part of the statement got into
sp_instr_stmt.
2. Generating "SET" or "SET GLOBAL" inside sp_create_assignment_instr()
depending on the option type.
This fixes MDEV-19640.
In the previous reduction the code passed (through no_lookahead)
the position of the
word GLOBAL inside sp_create_assignment_lex(), which
worked only for the left-most assignment.
3. Fixing the affected rules to use:
- ident_cli instead of ident
- ident_cli_set_usual_case instead of ident_set_usual_case
4. Changing the input parameter in:
- LEX::set_system_variable()
- LEX::call_statement_start()
- LEX::set_variable()
from just LEX_CSTRING to Lex_ident_sys_st for stricter data type constrol:
to make sure that noone passes an ident_cli
(a fragment of the original query in the client character set)
instead of server-side identifier
(utf8 identifier allocated on THD when needed).
5. Adding Lex_ident_sys() in places where the affected functions are called.
6. Moving all calls of sp_create_assignment_lex() to the places
just before parsing set_expr_or_default.
This makes the grammar clearer, because
sp_create_assignment_lex() and sp_create_assignment_instr()
now stay near each other, so the balance of LEX's push/pop
can be read easier.
This will also help to WL#4179.
7. Adding class sp_lex_set_var
Moving the initialization code from
sp_create_assignment_lex() to the constructor of sp_lex_set_var.
This will also help to WL#4179.
8. Moving a part of the "set" grammar rule into a separate
rule "set_param".
This makes the grammar easier to read and removes
one shift/reduce conflict.
A read-only storage engine that stores it's data in (aws) S3
To store data in S3 one could use ALTER TABLE:
ALTER TABLE table_name ENGINE=S3

This patch complements the original patch for MDEV-18896 that prevents
conversions to semi-joins in tableless selects used in INSERT statements
in post-5.5 versions of the server.
The test case was corrected as well to ensure that potential conversion
to jtbm semi-joins is also checked (the problem was that one of
the preceeding testcases in subselect_sj.test did not restore the
state of the optimizer switch leaving the 'materialization' in the state
'off' and so blocking this check).
Noticed an inconsistency in the state of select_lex::table_list used
in INSERT statements and left a comment about this.
Restore EXPAIN flag in SELECT_LEX before execution multi-update by flag in LEX
(the same but in other way made before INSERT/DELETE/SELECT)
Without it, mysql_update() didn't know that there will be EXPLAIN result set and was sending OK at the end of the update, which conflicted with the EOF sent later by EXPLAIN.
it always required UPDATE privilege on views, not being able to detect
when a views was not actually updated in multi-update.
fix: instead of marking all tables as "updating" by default,
only set "updating" on tables that will actually be updated
by multi-update. And mark the view "updating" if any of the
view's tables is.
With INFORMATION_SCHEMA set as the default database the check that a table
referred in the processed query is defined in INORMATION_SCHEMA must
be postponed until all CTE names can be identified.

This reverts commit 21b2fada7ab7f35c898c02d2f918461409cc9c8e
and commit 81d71ee6b21870772c336bff15b71904914f146a.
The MDEV-18464 change introduces a few data race issues. Contrary to
the documentation, the field trx_t::victim is not always being protected
by lock_sys_t::mutex and trx_t::mutex. Most importantly, it seems
that KILL QUERY could wrongly avoid acquiring both mutexes when
invoking lock_trx_handle_wait_low(), in case another thread had
already set trx->victim=true.
We also revert MDEV-12009, because it should depend on the MDEV-18464
fix being present.
As noted on kill_one_thread SUPER should be able to kill even
system threads i.e. threads/query flagged as high priority or
wsrep applier thread. Normal user, should not able to kill
threads/query flagged as high priority (BF) or wsrep applier
thread.
