0d8bd7cc3a MDEV-18428 Memory: If transactional=0 is specified in CREATE TABLE, it is not possible to ALTER TABLE
* be strict in CREATE TABLE, just like in ALTER TABLE, because
CREATE TABLE, just like ALTER TABLE, can be rolled back for any engine
* but don't auto-convert warnings into errors for engine warnings
(handler::create) - this matches ALTER TABLE behavior
* and not when creating a default record, these errors are handled
  specially (and replaced with ER_INVALID_DEFAULT)
* always issue a Note when a non-unique key is truncated, because it's
not a Warning that can be converted to an Error. Before this commit
it was a Note for blobs and a Warning for all other data types.

9cba6c5aa3 Updated mtr files to support different compiled in options
This allows one to run the test suite even if any of the following
options are changed:
- character-set-server
- collation-server
- join-cache-level
- log-basename
- max-allowed-packet
- optimizer-switch
- query-cache-size and query-cache-type
- skip-name-resolve
- table-definition-cache
- table-open-cache
- Some innodb options
etc

Changes:
- Don't print out the value of system variables as one can't depend on
  them to being constants.
- Don't set global variables to 'default' as the default may not
be the same as the test was started with if there was an additional
option file. Instead save original value and reset it at end of test.
- Test that depends on the latin1 character set should include
default_charset.inc or set the character set to latin1
- Test that depends on the original optimizer switch, should include
  default_optimizer_switch.inc
- Test that depends on the value of a specific system variable should
set it in the test (like optimizer_use_condition_selectivity)
- Split subselect3.test into subselect3.test and subselect3.inc to
make it easier to set and reset system variables.
- Added .opt files for test that required specfic options that could
be changed by external configuration files.
- Fixed result files in rockdsb & tokudb that had not been updated for
  a while.

8ff897265a Update test cases post MDEV-10286
Table_open_cache gets adjusted on server startup to prevent an out of
file descriptor error. However this means that when we reset its value
to default, it does not get re-adjusted. This leads to the mtr
consistency check to fail with different server status at the end of the
test case as opposed to when it started.

To fix the problem, do not make use of the DEFAULT keyword to set the
variable back, instead save the value before any modifications and
restore it from there.

ca0c96fc89 Adjust table_open_cache to avoid getting error 24 (too many open files)
MDEV--15609 engines/funcs.crash_manytables_number crashes with error 24
           (too many open files)
MDEV-10286 Adjustment of table_open_cache according to system limits
does not work when open-files-limit option is provided

Fixed by adjusting tc_size downwards if there is not enough file
descriptors to use.

Other changes:
- Ensure that there is 30 (was 10) extra file descriptors for other usage
- Decrease TABLE_OPEN_CACHE_MIN to 200 as it's better to have a smaller
table cache than getting error 24
- Increase minimum of max_connections and table_open_cache from 1 to 10
as 1 is not usable for any real application, only for testing.

51a66299f3 CHECKSUM TABLE to calculate in multiple column chunks
Checksum implementations contain optimizations for calculating
checksums of larger blocks of memory.

This optimization calls my_checksum on a larger block of memory
rather than calling on multiple adjacent memory as its going though
the table columns for each table row.

53d44ad18b Added some fixes that should make MyISAM & Aria REPAIR work with more than 4G records
- If one specifies --force twice to myisamchk and aria_chk, then we will try to finnish the repair even if sort_buffer would be too small.
This was done by dynamically allocate buffer handler objects as long as memory lasts.
- New option for myisamchk and aria_chk: create-missing-keys
- Changed default size of myisam_sort_buffer_size from 8M to 128M.
- Changed default size of sort_buffer_size in aria_chk from 128M to 256M.
- Increased information in error message about 'sort_buffer_size' beeing to small.
- Print also to 'show warnings' if repair was retried.
- Increased size of internal sort-buffer-readers from 16K to 128K
- Changed printing of 'number of records' to use %ll instead of casting to long
- Changed buffer sizes for myisam and aria to use MY_ALIGN_DOWN() to get same number of bytes allocated on different machines.

48ac4ff51f Bug #51327 MyISAM table is automatically repaired on ALTER
even if myisam-recover is OFF

The problem was that a corrupted MyISAM table was auto repaired
even if the myisam_recover_options server variable (or the
myisam_recover option) was set to OFF.

The reason was that the auto_repair() function, which is supposed
to say if auto repair is to be used, did not use the server variable
setting correctly. This bug was a regression introduced by WL#4738.

This patch fixes the problem by making sure auto_repair() returns
FALSE if myisam_recover_options is set to OFF.

Test case added to myisam.test.

a82cc50958 BUG#51307 - widespread corruption with partitions and
insert...select

Queries following bulk insert into an empty MyISAM table
may break it. This was pure MyISAM problem.

When bulk insert into an empty table is complete, MyISAM
may want to enable indexes via repair by sort. If repair
by sort fails (e.g. insufficient buffer), MyISAM failover
to repair with key cache, requesting repair of data file.

Repair of data file performs data file substitution. This
means that current table instance will point to new data
file. Other cached table instances are still pointing to
an old, deleted data file.

This is fixed by not requesting repair of data file
during enable indexes.

Explicit REPAIR is not affected, since it flushes all
table instances.

8aeafbd53f Merge fix for BUG48438 to mysql-5.1-bugteam. 2010-02-12 16:47:43 +04:00
62933c50df BUG#49628 - corrupt table after legal SQL, LONGTEXT column
Bulk REPLACE or bulk INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE may
break dynamic record MyISAM table.

The problem is limited to bulk REPLACE and INSERT ... ON
DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE, because only these operations may
be done via UPDATE internally and may request write cache.

When flushing write cache, MyISAM may write remaining
cached data at wrong position. Fixed by requesting write
cache to seek to a correct position.

mysql-test/r/myisam.result:
  A test case for BUG#49628.
mysql-test/t/myisam.test:
  A test case for BUG#49628.
storage/myisam/mi_dynrec.c:
delete_dynamic_record() may change data file position.
IO cache must be notified as it may still have cached
data, which has to be flushed later.
