The functionality of the socket system variable is extended
here such that a preciding '@' indicates that the socket
will be an abstract socket. Thie socket name wil be
the remainder of the name after the '@'. This is consistent
with the approached used by systemd in socket activation.
Thanks to Sergey Vojtovich:
On OS X sockaddr_un is defined as:
struct sockaddr_un
{
u_char sun_len;
u_char sun_family;
char sun_path[104];
};
There is a comment in man 7 unix (on linux):
"
On Linux, the above offsetof() expression equates to the same value as sizeof(sa_family_t),
but some other implementations include other fields before sun_path, so the offsetof()
expression more portably describes the size of the address structure.
"
As such, use the offsetof for Linux and use the previous sizeof(UNIXaddr)
for non-unix platforms as that's what worked before and they don't
support abstract sockets so there's no compatibility problem..

MDEV-13073 effectively made the master semisync component depending on
the plugin one through instantiation of THD by its Ack thread.
The thread therefore must be closing its resources prior to
plugin_shutdown(), which was not the case.
Fixed with implementing the requirement.
Recent changes in semisync initialization via MDEV-13073 introduced
instantiation of THD too early from the server components
pov which led to segfault.
Fixed with relocating the semisync component initialization
to later time when thread specific memory can be used.
Use systemd EXTEND_TIMEOUT_USEC to advise systemd of progress
Move towards progress measures rather than pure time based measures.
Progress reporting at numberious shutdown/startup locations incuding:
* For innodb_fast_shutdown=0 trx_roll_must_shutdown() for rolling back incomplete transactions.
* For merging the change buffer (in srv_shutdown(bool ibuf_merge))
* For purging history, srv_do_purge
Thanks Marko for feedback and suggestions.
The upper 1M limit for max_prepared_stmt_count was set over 10 years
ago. It doesn't suite current hardware and a sysbench oltp_read_write
test with 512 threads will hit this limit.
Main changes:
- Changing the constructor to accept a CHARSET_INFO pointer, instead of an Item pointer
- Updating the bison grammar accordingly
Additional cleanups:
- Simplifying Item_func_set_collation::eq() by reusing Item_func::eq()
- Removing unused binary_keyword
MDEV--15609 engines/funcs.crash_manytables_number crashes with error 24
(too many open files)
MDEV-10286 Adjustment of table_open_cache according to system limits
does not work when open-files-limit option is provided
Fixed by adjusting tc_size downwards if there is not enough file
descriptors to use.
Other changes:
- Ensure that there is 30 (was 10) extra file descriptors for other usage
- Decrease TABLE_OPEN_CACHE_MIN to 200 as it's better to have a smaller
table cache than getting error 24
- Increase minimum of max_connections and table_open_cache from 1 to 10
as 1 is not usable for any real application, only for testing.
The merge only covered 10.1 up to
commit 4d248974e0.
Actually merge the changes up to
commit 0a534348c7.
Also, remove the unused InnoDB field trx_t::abort_type.
Backporting from bb-10.2-compatibility to bb-10.2-ext
Version: 2018-01-26
- CREATE PACKAGE [BODY] statements are now
entirely written to mysql.proc with type='PACKAGE' and type='PACKAGE BODY'.
- CREATE PACKAGE BODY now supports IF NOT EXISTS
- DROP PACKAGE BODY now supports IF EXISTS
- CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE [BODY] is now supported
- CREATE PACKAGE [BODY] now support the DEFINER clause:
CREATE DEFINER user@host PACKAGE pkg ... END;
CREATE DEFINER user@host PACKAGE BODY pkg ... END;
- CREATE PACKAGE [BODY] now supports SQL SECURITY and COMMENT clauses, e.g.:
CREATE PACKAGE p1 SQL SECURITY INVOKER COMMENT "comment" AS ... END;
- Package routines are now created from the package CREATE PACKAGE BODY
statement and don't produce individual records in mysql.proc.
- CREATE PACKAGE BODY now supports package-wide variables.
Package variables can be read and set inside package routines.
Package variables are stored in a separate sp_rcontext,
which is cached in THD on the first packate routine call.
- CREATE PACKAGE BODY now supports the initialization section.
- All public routines (i.e. declared in CREATE PACKAGE)
must have implementations in CREATE PACKAGE BODY
- Only public package routines are available outside of the package
- {CREATE|DROP} PACKAGE [BODY] now respects CREATE ROUTINE and ALTER ROUTINE
privileges
- "GRANT EXECUTE ON PACKAGE BODY pkg" is now supported
- SHOW CREATE PACKAGE [BODY] is now supported
- SHOW PACKAGE [BODY] STATUS is now supported
- CREATE and DROP for PACKAGE [BODY] now works for non-current databases
- mysqldump now supports packages
- "SHOW {PROCEDURE|FUNCTION) CODE pkg.routine" now works for package routines
- "SHOW PACKAGE BODY CODE pkg" now works (the package initialization section)
- A new package body level MDL was added
- Recursive calls for package procedures are now possible
- Routine forward declarations in CREATE PACKATE BODY are now supported.
- Package body variables now work as SP OUT parameters
- Package body variables now work as SELECT INTO targets
- Package body variables now support ROW, %ROWTYPE, %TYPE
- CREATE PACKAGE [BODY] statements are now
entirely written to mysql.proc with type='PACKAGE' and type='PACKAGE BODY'.

a) We do not need this on Windows, and it is not clear what it does,inside
service.
b) It hinders debugging.
mysql-test-run.pl --debugger=vsjitdebugger more often than , would stop here
throwing "invalid handle" exception.
we have two the same 'if' clauses that check opt_bin_log argument
in mysqld.cc and both clauses go successively one after another.
Let's merge them into one
But set _CRT_NONSTDC_NO_WARNINGS to silence silly warnings about
ANSI C function being non-standard
Remove now deprecated GetVersion()/GetVersionEx(),except single case
where where it is really needed, in feedback plugin. Remove checks for
Windows NT.
Avoid old IPv4-only inet_aton, which generated the warning.
Handle string length as size_t, consistently (almost always:))
Change function prototypes to accept size_t, where in the past
ulong or uint were used. change local/member variables to size_t
when appropriate.
This fix excludes rocksdb, spider,spider, sphinx and connect for now.
