MDEV-4643 MariaDB crashes consistently when trying a SELECT on VIEW with a UNION and an additional JOIN in SELECT
open derived temp tables *before* trying QUICK_SELECT for them,
handler::multi_range_read_info() needs an open table.
- MariaDB does not have mysql.slave_master_info, mysql.slave_relay_log_info ,mysql.slave_worker_info
or mysql.ndb_binlog_index tables.
- Some tests expected to have these tables (this was an incorrect merge from 5.6, which merged
necessary tables like mysql.innodb*stats, but also got these tables)
- make the test output stable
- make Log_to_csv_event_handler::log_slow() to write the value
of thd->thread_id (it didn't, and so 0 was always logged).
Merged all ddl_logging code.
Merged sql_partition.cc
innodb_mysql_lock2.test and partition_cache.test now works.
Changed interface to strconvert() to make it easier to use with not \0 terminated strings.
sql/sql_partition.cc:
Full merge with 5.6
sql/sql_table.cc:
Merged all ddl_logging code
sql/strfunc.cc:
Added from_length argument to strconvert() to make it possible to use without end terminated strings.
sql/strfunc.h:
Added from_length argument to strconvert() to make it possible to use without end terminated strings.
Cleanup: remove TIME_FUZZY_DATE.
Introduce TIME_FUZZY_DATES which means "very fuzzy, the resulting
value is only used for comparison. It can be invalid date, fine, as long as it can be
compared".
Updated many tests results (they're better now).
mysql-test/r/mdl_sync.result:
Full merge with 5.6
mysql-test/t/mdl_sync.test:
Full merge with 5.6
sql/debug_sync.cc:
Full merge with 5.6
sql/debug_sync.h:
Full merge with 5.6
sql/mdl.cc:
Full merge with 5.6
sql/sql_base.cc:
Removed code not in 5.6 anymore
Item_func_min_max::get_date() did not check the
returned value against the fuzzy_date flags, so
it could return a bad value to the caller that
expects a good date (e.h. CONVERT_TZ).

- If a subquery is correlated wrt a const table, it will change from
being a "DEPENDENT SUBQUERY" into "SUBQUERY", at the end of its parent's
JOIN::optimize() call. Handle this, update the subquery's QPF.
- Make show_explain.test to work
= "Query plan already deleted" does not happen anymore.
= Handle special case of queries that don't have top-level selects, like
SET x = (SELECT ...)
Also, fixing a bug in STR_TO_DATE(). It erroneously returned
error in strict mode for dates like '0000-01-01'
(zero year, but non-zero month and day).
According to the manual:
- NO_ZERO_DATE disallows 0000-00-00 (all date parts are zeros)
- NO_ZERO_IN_DATE disallows zero month (YYYY-00-DD) or day (YYYY-MM-00).
0000-01-01 is a valid date, even in strict mode.

Alexander Barkov 2013-06-17 MDEV-4635 Crash in UNIX_TIMESTAMP(STR_TO_DAT...
TO INCONSISTENCY
PROBLEM
--------
When we drop a partitoned table , we first gather the
information about partitions in the table from the
table_name.par file and store it in an internal data
structure. Then we delete this file and the data in
the table. If the server crashes after deleting the
file, then after recovering we cannot access the table
.Even we cannot drop the table ,because drop algorithm
requires par file to read the partition information.
FIX
---
1. We move the part of deleting par file after deleting
all the table data from the storage egine.
2. During drop operation if we detect that the par
file is missing then we delete the .frm file, since
there is no way of recovering without par file.

SHOW PROCESSLIST might see a thread that started executing a query *after*
processlist has started. Don't show a negative or huge wrapped-around query execution time.
mysql_derived_merge_for_insert() should not be called for views or derived tables which are not put (directly or via other views) in main SELECT_LEX "join list".
mysql-test/r/servers.result:
Added test case for MDEV-4594.
mysql-test/t/servers.test:
Added test case for MDEV-4594.
sql/mysqld.cc:
Move servers_init() call to init_server_components(), so it is called
for embedded as well.
Call servers_free() even if NO_EMBEDDED_ACCESS_CHECKS defined (because
we call servers_init() anyway).
mysql-test/include/wait_show_condition.inc:
Print failing statement if timeout
mysql-test/r/myisam-metadata.result:
Updated DBUG_SYNC
mysql-test/t/myisam-metadata.test:
Updated DBUG_SYNC.
Removed wait_show_condtion, as this is not needed when we use DBUG_SYNC
This should fix timing issues with the test
