This patch changes the main name of 3 byte character set from utf8 to
utf8mb3. New old_mode UTF8_IS_UTF8MB3 is added and set TRUE by default,
so that utf8 would mean utf8mb3. If not set, utf8 would mean utf8mb4.
The problem is that sharing default expression among set instruction
leads to attempt access result field of function created in
other instruction runtime MEM_ROOT and already freed
(a bit different then MySQL problem).
Fix is the same as in MySQL (but no optimisation for constant), turn
DECLARE a, b, c type DEFAULT expr;
to
DECLARE a type DEFAULT expr, b type DEFAULT a, c type DEFAULT a;
This feature adds the functionality of ignorability for indexes.
Indexes are not ignored be default.
To control index ignorability explicitly for a new index,
use IGNORE or NOT IGNORE as part of the index definition for
CREATE TABLE, CREATE INDEX, or ALTER TABLE.
Primary keys (explicit or implicit) cannot be made ignorable.
The table INFORMATION_SCHEMA.STATISTICS get a new column named IGNORED that
would store whether an index needs to be ignored or not.
Add a new privilege "SLAVE MONITOR" which will grant user the permission
to execute "SHOW SLAVE STATUS" and "SHOW RELAYLOG EVENTS" commands.
SHOW SLAVE STATUS requires either SLAVE MONITOR/SUPER
SHOW RELAYLOG EVENTS requires SLAVE MONITOR privilege.
1. rr record -h randomizes number of processors. Disable THREAD_POOL_SIZE check.
2. check for kernel.perf_event_paranoid for user-friendly error message.
Also fixes:
MDEV-21487: Implement option for mysql_upgrade that allows root@localhost to be replaced
MDEV-21486: Implement option for mysql_install_db that allows root@localhost to be replaced
Add user mariadb.sys to be definer of user view
(and has right on underlying table global_priv for
required operation over global_priv
(SELECT,UPDATE,DELETE))
Also changed definer of gis functions in case of creation,
but they work with any definer so upgrade script do not try
to push this change.
In main.index_merge_myisam we remove the test that was added in
commit a2d24def8c because
it duplicates the test case that was added in
commit 5af12e4635.
PR#1127: Fix is_check_constraints.result to be compatibile with 10.3
The patch is done according to the original patch for MDEV-14474
1edd09c325 and not one which is merged on server
d526679efd.
This patch includes:
- Rename from `is_check_constraint` to `is_check_constraints` to tests
and results
- Per review, change the order of fields in IS check_constraints table by adding
the column `table_name` before `constraint_name`. According to the standard
2006 there is no `table_name` column.
- Original patch and one in `10.3` supports embedded server this patch doesn't
support. After the merge `10.3` will not support also.
- Don't use patch c8b8b01b61 to change the length of `CHECK_CLAUSE` field
PR#1150: MDEV-18440: Information_schema.check_constraints possible data leak
This patch is extension of PR 1127 and includes:
- Check for table grants
- Additional test according to the MDEV specification

Add support of referential constraints directly in column defininions:
create table t1 (id1 int primary key);
create table t2 (id2 int references t1(id1));
Referenced field name can be omitted if equal to foreign field name:
create table t1 (id int primary key);
create table t2 (id int references t1);
Until 10.5 this syntax was understood by the parser but was silently
ignored.
In case of generated columns this syntax is disabled at parser level
by ER_PARSE_ERROR. Note that separate FOREIGN KEY clause for generated
columns is disabled at storage engine level.
