safety first - tell mariadb client not to execute dangerous
cli commands, they cannot be present in the dump anyway.
wrapping the command in /*!999999 ..... */ guarantees that
if a non-mariadb-cli client loads the dump and sends it to the
server - the server will ignore the command it doesn't understand
New option works just like --tab, wrt output (sql file for table definition
and tab-separated for data, same options, e.g --parallel)
Compared to --tab it allows --databases and --all-databases.
When --dir is used , it creates directory structure in the output directory,
pointed to by --dir. For every database to be dumped, there will be a
directory with database name.
All options that --tab supports, are also supported by --dir, in particular
--parallel
This is done for symmetry with mariadb-dump, which does not use threads
but allows parallelism via --parallel
Traditional --use-threads can still be used, it is synonymous
with --parallel
- --parallel=N with or without --single-transaction
- Error cases (too many connections, emulate error on one connection)
- Windows specific test for named pipe connections
This patch adds for "--ps-protocol" second execution
of queries "SELECT".
Also in this patch it is added ability to disable/enable
(--disable_ps2_protocol/--enable_ps2_protocol) second
execution for "--ps-prototocol" in testcases.
The MDEV-25004 test innodb_fts.versioning is omitted because ever since
commit 685d958e38 InnoDB would not allow
writes to a database where the redo log file ib_logfile0 is missing.
Some tests drop the default mtr database "test". This may fail due
to the directory not being empty. InnoDB may not delete all tables
immediately, due to the "background drop table queue" or its
replacement in commit 1bd681c8b3
(the purge of history would clean up after a DDL operation during
which the server was killed).
Let us try to avoid "drop database test" whenever it is easily possible.
Where it is not, SET GLOBAL innodb_max_purge_lag_wait=0 will ensure
that the replacement of the "background drop table queue" will have
completed its job.
To prevent ASAN heap-use-after-poison in the MDEV-16549 part of

or slow query log when the log_output=TABLE.
When this happens, we temporary disable by changing log_output until
we've created the general_log and slow_log tables again.
Move </database> in xml mode until after the transaction_registry.
General_log and slow_log tables where moved to be first to be dumped so
that the disabling of the general/slow queries is minimal.
Previously the correct SQL mode for a stored routine or
package was only set before doing the CREATE part, this
worked out for PROCEDUREs and FUNCTIONs, but with ORACLE
mode specific PACKAGEs the DROP also only works in ORACLE
mode.
Moving the setting of the sql_mode a few lines up to happen
right before the DROP statement is writen fixes this.
in my_print_defaults
Analysis: --defaults* option is recognized anywhere in the commandline
instead of only at the beginning because handle_options() recognizes
options in any order.
Fix: use get_defaults_options() which recognizes --defaults* options only at
the beginning. After this is done, we only want to recognize other options
given in any order which can be done using handle_options(). So only skip
--defaults* options and pass rest of them to handle_options().
Also, removed -e, -g and -c because only my_print_defaults supports them.
This patch changes the main name of 3 byte character set from utf8 to
utf8mb3. New old_mode UTF8_IS_UTF8MB3 is added and set TRUE by default,
so that utf8 would mean utf8mb3. If not set, utf8 would mean utf8mb4.
