ddd7d5d8e3 MDEV-24035 Failing assertion: UT_LIST_GET_LEN(lock.trx_locks) == 0 causing disruption and replication failure
Under unknown circumstances, the SQL layer may wrongly disregard an
invocation of thd_mark_transaction_to_rollback() when an InnoDB
transaction had been aborted (rolled back) due to one of the following errors:
* HA_ERR_LOCK_DEADLOCK
* HA_ERR_RECORD_CHANGED (if innodb_snapshot_isolation=ON)
* HA_ERR_LOCK_WAIT_TIMEOUT (if innodb_rollback_on_timeout=ON)

Such an error used to cause a crash of InnoDB during transaction commit.
These changes aim to catch and report the error earlier, so that not only
this crash can be avoided but also the original root cause be found and
fixed more easily later.

The idea of this fix is from Michael 'Monty' Widenius.

HA_ERR_ROLLBACK: A new error code that will be translated into
ER_ROLLBACK_ONLY, signalling that the current transaction
has been aborted and the only allowed action is ROLLBACK.

trx_t::state: Add TRX_STATE_ABORTED that is like
TRX_STATE_NOT_STARTED, but noting that the transaction had been
rolled back and aborted.

trx_t::is_started(): Replaces trx_is_started().

ha_innobase: Check the transaction state in various places.
Simplify the logic around SAVEPOINT.

ha_innobase::is_valid_trx(): Replaces ha_innobase::is_read_only().

The InnoDB logic around transaction savepoints, commit, and rollback
was unnecessarily complex and might have contributed to this
inconsistency. So, we are simplifying that logic as well.

trx_savept_t: Replace with const undo_no_t*. When we rollback to
a savepoint, all we need to know is the number of undo log records
that must survive.

trx_named_savept_t, DB_NO_SAVEPOINT: Remove. We can store undo_no_t
directly in the space allocated at innobase_hton->savepoint_offset.

fts_trx_create(): Do not copy previous savepoints.

fts_savepoint_rollback(): If a savepoint was not found, roll back
everything after the default savepoint of fts_trx_create().
The test innodb_fts.savepoint is extended to cover this code.

14cc7e7d6e MDEV-25644 UPDATE not working properly on transaction precise system versioned table
First UPDATE under START TRANSACTION does nothing (nstate= nstate),
but anyway generates history. Since update vector is empty we get into
(!uvect->n_fields) branch which only adds history row, but does not do
update. After that we get current row with wrong (old) row_start value
and because of that second UPDATE tries to insert history row again
because it sees trx->id != row_start which is the guard to avoid
inserting multiple trx_id-based history rows under same transaction
(because we have same trx_id and we get duplicate error and this bug
demostrates that). But this try anyway fails because PK is based on
row_end which is constant under same transaction, so PK didn't change.

The fix moves vers_make_update() to an earlier stage of
calc_row_difference(). Therefore it prepares update vector before
(!uvect->n_fields) check and never gets into that branch, hence no
need to handle versioning inside that condition anymore.

Now trx->id and row_start are equal after first UPDATE and we don't
try to insert second history row.

== Cleanups and improvements ==

ha_innobase::update_row():

vers_set_fields and vers_ins_row are cleaned up into direct condition
check. SQLCOM_ALTER_TABLE check now is not used as this is dead code,
assertion is done instead.

upd_node->is_delete is set in calc_row_difference() just to keep
versioning code as much in one place as possible. vers_make_delete()
is still located in row_update_for_mysql() as this is required for
ha_innodbase::delete_row() as well.

row_ins_duplicate_error_in_clust():

Restrict DB_FOREIGN_DUPLICATE_KEY to the better conditions.
VERSIONED_DELETE is used specifically to help lower stack to
understand what caused current insert. Related to MDEV-29813.

be8113861c MDEV-27025 insert-intention lock conflicts with waiting ORDINARY lock
The code was backported from 10.6 bd03c0e516
commit. See that commit message for details.

Apart from the above commit trx_lock_t::wait_trx was also backported from
MDEV-24738. trx_lock_t::wait_trx is protected with lock_sys.wait_mutex
in 10.6, but that mutex was implemented only in MDEV-24789. As there is no
need to backport MDEV-24789 for MDEV-27025,
trx_lock_t::wait_trx is protected with the same mutexes as
trx_lock_t::wait_lock.

This fix should not break innodb-lock-schedule-algorithm=VATS. This
algorithm uses an Eldest-Transaction-First (ETF) heuristic, which prefers
older transactions over new ones. In this fix we just insert granted lock
just before the last granted lock of the same transaction, what does not
change transactions execution order.

The changes in lock_rec_create_low() should not break Galera Cluster,
there is a big "if" branch for WSREP. This branch is necessary to provide
the correct transactions execution order, and should not be changed for
the current bug fix.

bd03c0e516 MDEV-27025 insert-intention lock conflicts with waiting ORDINARY lock
When lock is checked for conflict, ignore other locks on the record if
they wait for the requesting transaction.

lock_rec_has_to_wait_in_queue() iterates not all locks for
the page, but only the locks located before the waiting lock in the
queue. So there is some invariant - any lock in the queue can wait only
lock which is located before the waiting lock in the queue.

In the case when conflicting lock waits for the transaction of
requesting lock, we need to place the requesting lock before the waiting
lock in the queue to preserve the invariant. That is why we are looking
for the first waiting for requesting transation lock and place the new
lock just after the last granted requesting transaction lock before the
first waiting for requesting transaction lock.

Example:

trx1 waiting lock, trx1 granted lock, ..., trx2 lock - waiting for trx1
place new lock here -----------------^

There are also implicit locks which are lazily converted to explicit
ones, and we need to place the newly created explicit lock to the correct
place in a queue. All explicit locks converted from implicit ones are
placed just after the last non-waiting lock of the same transaction before
the first waiting for the transaction lock.

Code review and cleanup was made by Marko Mäkelä.

241ac79e49 MDEV-26778 row_start is not updated in current row for InnoDB
Update was skipped (need_update was false) because compare_record()
used HA_PARTIAL_COLUMN_READ branch and it skipped row_start check
has_explicit_value() was false. When we set bit for row_start in
has_value_set the row is updated with new row_start value.

The bug was caused by combination of MDEV-23446 and 3789692d17. The
latter one says:

  ... But generated columns that are written to the table are always
  deterministic and cannot change unless normal non-generated columns
  were changed. ...

Since MDEV-23446 generated row_start can change while non-generated
columns are not changed.

Explicit value flag came from HAS_EXPLICIT_DEFAULT which was used to
distinguish default-generated value from user-supplied one.

9b38ed4c85 MDEV-23446 UPDATE does not insert history row if the row is not changed
Add history row outside of compare_record() check. For TRX_ID

additional "row changed" check where we force history row anyway.

7410ff436e MDEV-21138 Assertion col->ord_part' or f.col->ord_part' failed in row_build_index_entry_low
First part (row0mysql.cc) fixes ins_node_set_new_row() usage workflow
as it is designed to operate on empty row (see row_get_prebuilt_insert_row()
for example).

Second part (row0ins.cc) fixes duplicate key error in FTS_DOC_ID_INDEX
since history rows must not generate entries in that index. We detect
FTS_DOC_ID_INDEX by a number of attributes and skip it if the row is
historical.

Misc fixes:

row_build_index_entry_low() does not accept non-NULL tuple
for FTS index (subject assertion fails), assertion (index->type !=
DICT_FTS) adds code understanding.

Now as historical_row is copied in row_update_vers_insert() there is
no need to copy the row twice: ROW_COPY_POINTERS is used to build
historical_row initially.

dbug_print_rec() debug functions.
