main/statistics_json.result is updated for f8ba5ced55 (MDEV-36099)

The test uses 'delete from t1' in many places and then populates
the table again. The natural order of rows in a MyISAM table is well
defined and the test was implicitly relying on that.

before f8ba5ced55 delete was deleting rows one by one, using
ha_myisam::delete_row() because the connection was stuck in rbr mode.
This caused rows to be shown in the reverse insertion order (because of
the delete link list).

MDEV-36099 fixes this bug and the server now correctly uses
ha_myisam::delete_all_rows(). This makes rows to be shown in the
insertion order as expected.

626d5bf832 MDEV-36287 mariabackup ignores tables-file
Problem:
========
- Mariabackup ignores tables-file option because it fails to
register the new entry in database hash cells. This issue was
caused by the commit 3c312d247c (MDEV-35190).
xb_register_filter_entry() fails to stop when it encounters the
empty list.

Solution:
=========
xb_register_filter_entry(): If there is no next member to
deference then it return pointer to existing element.

13e9f2d65b MDEV-37143 mariabackup fails on Windows with "SSL certificate is self-signed"
This is the same as MDEV-35368, which was previously incompletely fixed
(on *nix-only, for unix socket connections)

This time, we fix it compatibly to Connector/C, by not verifying
server certificate for local connections, which, in addition to socket
and named pipe, are also "127.0.0.1" and "::1", and on Windows "localhost"
as well.

The corresponding code in Connector/C is was added by
1287c901dc8515823d28edcebfe4be65e6c5a6b3.

It remain a good question whether mariabackup should use SSL at all
since all it does are local connections, for "BACKUP STAGE" stuff.

bead24b7f3 mariadb-test: wait on disconnect
Remove one of the major sources of race condiitons in mariadb-test.
Normally, mariadb_close() sends COM_QUIT to the server and immediately
disconnects. In mariadb-test it means the test can switch to another
connection and sends queries to the server before the server even
started parsing the COM_QUIT packet and these queries can see the
connection as fully active, as it didn't reach dispatch_command yet.

This is a major source of instability in tests and many - but not all,
still less than a half - tests employ workarounds. The correct one
is a pair count_sessions.inc/wait_until_count_sessions.inc.
Also very popular was wait_until_disconnected.inc, which was completely
useless, because it verifies that the connection is closed, and after
disconnect it always is, it didn't verify whether the server processed
COM_QUIT. Sadly the placebo was as widely used as the real thing.

Let's fix this by making mariadb-test `disconnect` command _to wait_ for
the server to confirm. This makes almost all workarounds redundant.

In some cases count_sessions.inc/wait_until_count_sessions.inc is still
needed, though, as only `disconnect` command is changed:

 * after external tools, like `exec $MYSQL`
 * after failed `connect` command
 * replication, after `STOP SLAVE`
 * Federated/CONNECT/SPIDER/etc after `DROP TABLE`

and also in some XA tests, because an XA transaction is dissociated from
the THD very late, after the server has closed the client connection.

Collateral cleanups: fix comments, remove some redundant statements:
 * DROP IF EXISTS if nothing is known to exist
 * DROP table/view before DROP DATABASE
 * REVOKE privileges before DROP USER
 etc

2d1e019f4f MDEV-36871 mariadb-backup incremental segfault querying mariadb_backup_history
Problem:
=========
(1) Mariabackup tries to read the history data from
mysql.mariadb_backup_history and fails with segfault. Reason is that
mariabackup does force innodb_log_checkpoint_now from commit 652f33e0a44661d6093993d49d3e83d770904413(MDEV-30000).
Mariabackup sends the "innodb_log_checkpoint_now=1" query to server and
reads the result set for the query later in the code because the query
may trigger the page thread to flush the pages. But before reading the
query result for innodb_log_checkpoint_now=1, mariabackup does execute
the select query for the history table (mysql.mariadb_backup_history)
and wrongly reads the query result of innodb_log_checkpoint_now. This leads
to assertion in mariabackup.

(2) The recording of incremental backups has the format as "tar"
when mbstream was used. The xb_stream_fmt_t only had XB_STREAM_FMT_NONE
and XB_STREAM_FMT_XBSTREAM and hence in the mysql.mariadb_backup_history
table the format was recorded as "tar" for the "mbstream" due to the
offset in the xb_stream_name array within mariadb-backup.

(3) Also under Windows the full path of mariabackup was recorded in the the
history.

(4) select_incremental_lsn_from_history(): Name of the backup and UUID
of the history record variable could lead to buffer overflow while
copying the variable value from global variable.

Solution:
=========
(1) Move the reading of history data from mysql.mariadb_backup_history
after reading the result of innodb_log_checkpoint_now=1 query

(2) We've removed the "tar" element from the xb_stream_name. As the
"xbstream" was never used, the format name is changed to mbstream.
As the table needs alteration the "mbstream" appended instead of
the unused xbstream in the table. "tar" is left in the enum as
the previous recordings are still possible.

(3) The Windows path separator is used to store just the executable
name as the tool in the mariadb_backup_history table.

(4) select_incremental_lsn_from_history(): Check and validate
the length of incremental history name and incremental history uuid
before copying into temporary buffer

Thanks to Daniel black for contributing the code for solution (2) and (3)

2469963f05 MDEV-36270 mariabackup.incremental_compressed fails in 10.11+
- During prepare of incremental backup, mariabackup does create
new file in target directory with default file size of
4 * innodb_page_size. While applying .delta file to corresponding
data file, it encounters the FSP_SIZE modification on page0 and
tries to extend the file to the size which is 4 in our case.
Since the table is in compressed row format, page_size for the
table is 8k. This lead to shrinking of tablespace file from 65536
to 32768. This issue happens only in windows because
os_file_set_size() doesn't check for the current size
and shrinks the file.

Solution:
========
xtrabackup_apply_delta(): Check for the current size before
doing setting size for the file.

acaf07daed Add --source include/long_test.inc to some tests
This will make mysql-test-run.pl try to schedule these long-running

the testsuite gets stuck with a few long-running tests at the end
while most other test workers are idle.

This speed up mtr --parallel=96 with 25 seconds for me.

eca552a1a4 MDEV-34830: LSN in the future is not being treated as serious corruption
The invariant of write-ahead logging is that before any change to a
page is written to the data file, the corresponding log record must
must first have been durably written.

In crash recovery, there were some sloppy checks for this. Let us
implement accurate checks and flag an inconsistency as a hard error,
so that we can avoid further corruption of a corrupted database.
For data extraction from the corrupted database, innodb_force_recovery
can be used.

Before recovery is reading any data pages or invoking
buf_dblwr_t::recover() to recover torn pages from the
doublewrite buffer, InnoDB will have parsed the log until the
final LSN and updated log_sys.lsn to that. So, we can rely on
log_sys.lsn at all times. The doublewrite buffer recovery has been
refactored in such a way that the recv_sys.dblwr.pages may be consulted
while discovering files and their page sizes, but nothing will be
written back to data files before buf_dblwr_t::recover() is invoked.

recv_max_page_lsn, recv_lsn_checks_on: Remove.

recv_sys_t::validate_checkpoint(): Validate the write-ahead-logging
condition at the end of the recovery.

recv_dblwr_t::validate_page(): Keep track of the maximum LSN
(if we are checking a non-doublewrite copy of a page) but
do not complain LSN being in the future. The doublewrite buffer
is a special case, because it will be read early during recovery.
Besides, starting with commit 762bcb81b5
the dblwr=true copies of pages may legitimately be "too new".

recv_dblwr_t::find_page(): Find a valid page with the smallest
FIL_PAGE_LSN that is in the valid range for recovery.

recv_dblwr_t::restore_first_page(): Replaced by find_page().
Only buf_dblwr_t::recover() will write to data files.

buf_dblwr_t::recover(): Simplify the message output. Do attempt
doublewrite recovery on user page read error. Ignore doublewrite
pages whose FIL_PAGE_LSN is outside the usable bounds. Previously,
we could wrongly recover a too new page from the doublewrite buffer.
It is unlikely that this could have lead to an actual error.
Write back all recovered pages from the doublewrite buffer here,
including for the first page of any tablespace.

buf_page_is_corrupted(): Distinguish the return values
CORRUPTED_FUTURE_LSN and CORRUPTED_OTHER.

buf_page_check_corrupt(): Return the error code DB_CORRUPTION
in case the LSN is in the future.

Datafile::read_first_page_flags(): Split from read_first_page().
Take a copy of the first page as a parameter.

recv_sys_t::free_corrupted_page(): Take the file as a parameter
and return whether a message was displayed. This avoids some duplicated
and incomplete error messages.

buf_page_t::read_complete(): Remove some redundant output and always
display the name of the corrupted file. Never return DB_FAIL;
use it only in internal error handling.

IORequest::read_complete(): Assume that buf_page_t::read_complete()
will have reported any error.

fil_space_t::set_corrupted(): Return whether this is the first time
the tablespace had been flagged as corrupted.

Datafile::validate_first_page(), fil_node_open_file_low(),
fil_node_open_file(), fil_space_t::read_page0(),
fil_node_t::read_page0(): Add a parameter for a copy of the
first page, and a parameter to indicate whether the FIL_PAGE_LSN
check should be suppressed. Before buf_dblwr_t::recover() is
invoked, we cannot validate the FIL_PAGE_LSN, but we can trust the
FSP_SPACE_FLAGS and the tablespace ID that may be present in a
potentially too new copy of a page.

852d42e993 MDEV-34483 Backup may copy unnecessarily much log
In mariadb-backup --backup there are multiple mechanisms for ensuring that
a sufficient amount of the InnoDB write-ahead log (ib_logfile0) is being
copied at the end of the backup. The backup needs to include the latest
committed transaction. While further transaction commits are blocked by
BACKUP STAGE BLOCK_COMMIT, ongoing transactions may modify the database
contents and write log records. We were unnecessarily copying such log,
which would also cause further effort of rolling back incomplete
transactions after the backup is restored.

to separate functions backup_wait_for_lsn_low() and

backup_wait_for_commit_lsn(): A new function to determine the current
LSN (within BACKUP STAGE BLOCK_COMMIT) and to wait for the log to be
copied until that. Invoked by BackupStages::stage_block_commit().

xtrabackup_backup_func(): Remove a condition that had already been
checked by a caller of backup_wait_timeout().

server_lsn_after_lock: Declare as a local variable in
BackupStages::stage_block_ddl().

log_copying_thread(), io_watching_thread(): Use metadata_last_lsn
instead of metadata_to_lsn as the stop condition.

BackupStages::stage_block_commit(): Ensure that the log tables

the BACKUP STAGE BLOCK_COMMIT is being followed by any further
SQL statements.
