cffbb17480 MDEV-28933: Per-table unique FOREIGN KEY constraint names
Before MySQL 4.0.18, user-specified constraint names were ignored.
Starting with MySQL 4.0.18, the specified constraint name was
prepended with the schema name and '/'. Now we are transforming
into a format where the constraint name is prepended with the
dict_table_t::name and the impossible UTF-8 sequence 0xff.
Generated constraint names will be ASCII decimal numbers.

On upgrade, old FOREIGN KEY constraint names will be displayed
without any schema name prefix. They will be updated to the new
format on DDL operations.

dict_foreign_t::sql_id(): Return the SQL constraint name
without any schemaname/tablename\377 or schemaname/ prefix.

row_rename_table_for_mysql(), dict_table_rename_in_cache():
Simplify the logic: Just rename constraints to the new format.

dict_table_get_foreign_id(): Replaces dict_table_get_highest_foreign_id().

innobase_get_foreign_key_info(): Let my_error() refer to erroneous
anonymous constraints as "(null)".

row_delete_constraint(): Try to drop all 3 constraint name variants.

1c9f64e54f MDEV-36613 Incorrect undo logging for indexes on virtual columns
Starting with mysql/mysql-server@02f8eaa998
and commit 2e814d4702 the index ID of
indexes on virtual columns was being encoded insufficiently in
InnoDB undo log records. Only the least significant 32 bits were
being written. This could lead to some corruption of the affected
indexes on ROLLBACK, as well as to missed chances to remove some
history from such indexes when purging the history of committed
transactions that included DELETE or an UPDATE in the indexes.

dict_hdr_create(): In debug instrumented builds, initialize the
DICT_HDR_INDEX_ID close to the 32-bit barrier, instead of initializing
it to DICT_HDR_FIRST_ID (10). This will allow the changed code to
be exercised while running ./mtr --suite=gcol,vcol.

trx_undo_log_v_idx(): Encode large index->id in a similar way as
mysql/mysql-server@e00328b4d0
but using a different implementation.

trx_undo_read_v_idx_low(): Decode large index->id in a similar way
as mach_u64_read_much_compressed().

da09ae05a9 MDEV-18114 Foreign Key Constraint actions don't affect Virtual Column
* invoke check_expression() for all vcol_info's in

9bc874a594 MDEV-23497 Make ROW_FORMAT=COMPRESSED read-only by default
Let us introduce the parameter innodb_read_only_compressed
that is ON by default, making any ROW_FORMAT=COMPRESSED tables
read-only.

I developed the ROW_FORMAT=COMPRESSED format based on
Heikki Tuuri's rough design between 2005 and 2008. It might
have been a good idea back then, but no proper benchmarks were
ever run to validate the design or the implementation.

The format has been more or less obsolete for years.
It limits innodb_page_size to 16384 bytes (the default),
and instant ALTER TABLE is not supported.

This is the first step towards deprecating and removing
write support for ROW_FORMAT=COMPRESSED tables.

dc719597ee MDEV-18156 Assertion 0' failed or btr_validate_index(index, 0, false)' in row_upd_sec_index_entry or error code 126: Index is corrupted upon DELETE with PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH
This change takes into account a column's GENERATED ALWAYS AS
expression dependcy on sql_mode's PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH and
NO_UNSIGNED_SUBTRACTION flags.

Indexed virtual columns as well as persistent generated columns are
now not allowed to have such dependencies to avoid inconsistent data
or index files on sql_mode changes.
So an error is now returned in cases like this:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->VARCHAR or CHAR->TEXT = ERROR
  );

Functions RPAD() and RTRIM() can now remove dependency on
PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH. So this can be used instead:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (RTRIM(a)) PERSISTENT
  );

Note, unlike CHAR->VARCHAR and CHAR->TEXT this still works,
not RPAD(a) is needed:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v CHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->CHAR is OK
  );

More sql_mode flags may affect values of generated columns.
They will be addressed separately.

See comments in sql_mode.h for implementation details.

5d142f9958 MDEV-13795/MDEV-14332 Corruption during online table-rebuilding ALTER when VIRTUAL columns exist
When MySQL 5.7 introduced indexed virtual columns, it introduced
several bugs into the online table-rebuilding ALTER, that is,
the row_log_table_apply() family of functions.

The online_log format that was introduced for online table-rebuilding
ALTER in MySQL 5.6 should be sufficient. Ideally, any indexed virtual
column values would be evaluated based on the log records in the temporary
file. There is no need to log virtual column values.

(For ADD INDEX, that is row_log_apply(), we always must log the values of
the keys, no matter if the columns are virtual.)

Because omitting the virtual column values removes any chance of
row_log_table_apply() working with indexed virtual columns, we
will for now refuse LOCK=NONE in table-rebuilding ALTER operations
when indexes on virtual columns exist. This restriction would be
lifted in MDEV-14341.

innobase_indexed_virtual_exist(): New predicate, to determine if
indexed virtual columns exist in a table definition.

ha_innobase::check_if_supported_inplace_alter(): Refuse online rebuild
if indexed virtual columns exist.

rec_get_converted_size_temp_v(), rec_convert_dtuple_to_temp_v(): Remove.

row_log_table_delete(), row_log_table_update(, row_log_table_insert():
Remove parameters for virtual columns.

trx_undo_read_v_rows(): Remove the col_map parameter.

row_log_table_apply(): Do not deal with virtual columns.

1cae1af6f9 MDEV-5800 InnoDB support for indexed vcols
* remove old 5.2+ InnoDB support for virtual columns
  * enable corresponding parts of the innodb-5.7 sources
  * copy corresponding test cases from 5.7
  * copy detailed Alter_inplace_info::HA_ALTER_FLAGS flags from 5.7
     - and more detailed detection of changes in fill_alter_inplace_info()
  * more "innodb compatibility hooks" in sql_class.cc to
     - create/destroy/reset a THD (used by background purge threads)
     - find a prelocked table by name
     - open a table (from a background purge thread)

  * different from 5.7:
    - new service thread "thd_destructor_proxy" to make sure all THDs are
      destroyed at the correct point in time during the server shutdown
    - proper opening/closing of tables for vcol evaluations in
       + FK checks (use already opened prelocked tables)
       + purge threads (open the table, MDLock it, add it to tdc, close
         when not needed)
    - cache open tables in vc_templ
    - avoid unnecessary allocations, reuse table->record[0] and table->s->default_values
    - not needed in 5.7, because it overcalculates:
      + tell the server to calculate vcols for an on-going inline ADD INDEX
      + calculate vcols for correct error messages

  * update other engines (mroonga/tokudb) accordingly
