* automatically disable ps2 and cursor protocol when the
select statement returns no result set
* remove manual {disable|enable}_{ps2|cursor}_protocol from around
`select ... into` in tests
* other misc collateral test cleanups
Updated tests: cases with bugs or which cannot be run
with the cursor-protocol were excluded with
"--disable_cursor_protocol"/"--enable_cursor_protocol"
Fix for v.10.5
This patch extends the timestamp from
2038-01-19 03:14:07.999999 to 2106-02-07 06:28:15.999999
for 64 bit hardware and OS where 'long' is 64 bits.
This is true for 64 bit Linux but not for Windows.
This is done by treating the 32 bit stored int as unsigned instead of
signed. This is safe as MariaDB has never accepted dates before the epoch
(1970).
The benefit of this approach that for normal timestamp the storage is
compatible with earlier version.
However for tables using system versioning we before stored a
timestamp with the year 2038 as the 'max timestamp', which is used to
detect current values. This patch stores the new 2106 year max value
as the max timestamp. This means that old tables using system
versioning needs to be updated with mariadb-upgrade when moving them
to 11.4. That will be done in a separate commit.
don't set vers_write=false if one vers column was used explicitly,
instead do vers_update_fields() for columns that do not have explicit
value. So, if row_start has the value and row_end not, row_end will
get max by default.
* clarify the help text for --system-versioning-insert-history
* move the vers_write=false check from Item_field::fix_fields()
next to other vers field checks in find_field_in_table()
* move row_start validation from handler::write_row() next to
vers_update_fields()
* make secure_timestamp check to happen in one place only,
extract it into a function is_set_timestamp_vorbidden().
* overwriting vers fields is an error, just like setting @@timestamp
* don't run vers_insert_history() for every row
1. system_versioning_insert_history session variable allows
pseudocolumns ROW_START and ROW_END be specified in INSERT,
INSERT..SELECT and LOAD DATA.
2. Cleaned up select_insert::send_data() from setting vers_write as
this parameter is now set on TABLE initialization.
4. Replication of system_versioning_insert_history via option_bits in
OPTIONS_WRITTEN_TO_BIN_LOG.
Tests started to fail after a merge of MDEV-15107 (from bb-10.2-ext to 10.3),
because MDEV-15107 additionally fixed this problem:
MDEV-15112 Inconsistent evaluation of spvariable=0 in strict mode
Modifying tests not to reply on the pre-MDEV-15112 behavior.
and the system_versioning_transaction_registry variable.
The user enables transaction registry by specifying BIGINT for
row_start/row_end columns.
check mysql.transaction_registry structure on the first open,
not on startup. Avoid warnings unless transaction_registry
is actually used.
* sys fields are NULL by default (with exceptions, see comment about NOT_NULL_FLAG in #77);
* error codes renamed, messages cleared out;
* SHOW CREATE TABLE fixed;
* set_max() fix;
* redundant flag setters/getters removed;
* flags are set in sql_yacc.yy, redundant copy_info_about_generated_fields() eliminated.
