867b53cf4e MDEV-31794: Preserved unsupported table flags break replication
The slave replication should accept not supported table options (eg.
"transactional" for MyISAM), as such options can end up being set from the
master in binlogged CREATE TABLE.

This was already handled in report_unknown_option(), which skips the error
in slave threads. But in mysql_prepare_create_table_finalize() there was still
a warning given, and this warning gets converted into an error when
STRICT_(ALL|TRANS)_TABLES. So skip this warning for replication also.

0b7d1748ad MDEV-12459 Get temporary tables visible to the IS.tables for current connection
Additionally fixes the bugs uncovered in:
  - `MDEV-28332: Alter on temporary table causes ER_TABLE_EXISTS_ERROR note`
Since there is no `warning` issued by shadowing of base table, this MDEV
is irrelevant. Keeping for review purposes and for future development

6b20342651 Ensure that fields declared with NOT NULL doesn't have DEFAULT values if not specified and if not timestamp or auto_increment
In original code, sometimes one got an automatic DEFAULT value in some cases, in other cases not.

For example:
create table t1 (a int primary key) - No default
create table t2 (a int, primary key(a)) - DEFAULT 0
create table t1 SELECT .... - Default for all fields, even if they where defined as NOT NULL
ALTER TABLE ... MODIFY could sometimes add an unexpected DEFAULT value.

The patch is quite big because we had some many test cases that used
CREATE ... SELECT or CREATE ... (...PRIMARY KEY(xxx)) which doesn't have an automatic DEFAULT anymore.

Other things:
- Removed warnings from InnoDB when waiting from semaphore (got this when testing things with --big)

6efa5efa7d Fixed that rpl_row_create_table can be run with --ps-protocol
As part of the fix we don't anymore generate a create table statement when doing a
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS table_that_exist LiKE temporary_table
if the 'table_that_exist' existed.

This is because it's not self evident if we should generate a create statement
matching the existing table or the temporary_table.
The old code generated a table like the existing table in row based replication and like the temporary table
in statement based replication.
It's better to ensure that both cases works the same way.

7ffc9da093 Implementation of MDEV-5491: CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE
Using CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE is be identical to

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS table_name;
CREATE TABLE ...;

Except that:

* CREATE OR REPLACE is be atomic (now one can create the same table between drop and create).
* Temporary tables will not shadow the table name for the DROP as the CREATE TABLE tells us already if we are using a temporary table or not.
* If the table was locked with LOCK TABLES, the new table will be locked with the same lock after it's created.

Implementation details:
- We don't anymore open the to-be-created table during CREATE TABLE, which the original code did.
  - There is no need to open a table we are planning to create. It's enough to check if the table exists or not.
- Removed some of duplicated code for CREATE IF NOT EXISTS.
- Give an error when using CREATE OR REPLACE with IF NOT EXISTS (conflicting options).
- As a side effect of the code changes, we don't anymore have to internally re-prepare prepared statements with CREATE TABLE if the table exists.
- Made one code path for all testing if log table are in use.
- Better error message if one tries to create/drop/alter a log table in use
- Added back disabled rpl_row_create_table test as it now seams to work and includes a lot of interesting tests.
- Added HA_LEX_CREATE_REPLACE to mark if we are using CREATE OR REPLACE
- Aligned CREATE OR REPLACE parsing code in sql_yacc.yy for TABLE and VIEW
- Changed interface for drop_temporary_table() to make it more reusable
- Changed Locked_tables_list::init_locked_tables() to work on the table object instead of the table list object. Before this it used a mix of both, which was not good.
- Locked_tables_list::unlock_locked_tables(THD *thd) now requires a valid thd argument. Old usage of calling this with 0 i changed to instead call Locked_tables_list::reset()
- Added functions Locked_tables_list:restore_lock() and Locked_tables_list::add_back_last_deleted_lock() to be able to easily add back a locked table to the lock list.
- Added restart_trans_for_tables() to be able to restart a transaction.
- DROP_ACL is required if one uses CREATE TABLE OR REPLACE.
- Added drop of normal and temporary tables in create_table_imp() if CREATE OR REPLACE was used.
- Added reacquiring of table locks in mysql_create_table() and mysql_create_like_table()

Changed interface for drop_temporary_table() to make it more reusable
Changed Locked_tables_list::init_locked_tables() to work on the table object instead of the table list object. Before this it used a mix of both, which was not good.
Locked_tables_list::unlock_locked_tables(THD *thd) now requires a valid thd argument. Old usage of calling this with 0 i changed to instead call Locked_tables_list::reset()
Added functions Locked_tables_list:restore_lock() and Locked_tables_list::add_back_last_deleted_lock() to be able to easily add back a locked table to the lock list.
Check for command number instead of open_strategy of CREATE TABLE was used.
Added restart_trans_for_tables() to be able to restart a transaction. This was needed in "create or replace ... select" between the drop table and the select.
sql/sql_base.h:
  Added and updated function prototypes
sql/sql_class.h:
Added new prototypes to Locked_tables_list class
Added extra argument to select_create to avoid double call to eof() or send_error()
  - I needed this in some edge case where the table was not created against expections.
sql/sql_db.cc:
  New interface for check_if_log_table()
sql/sql_insert.cc:
Remember position to lock information so that we can reaquire table lock for LOCK TABLES + CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE SELECT. Later add back the lock by calling restore_lock().
Removed one not needed indentation level in create_table_from_items()
Ensure we don't call send_eof() or abort_result_set() twice.
sql/sql_lex.h:
Removed variable that I temporarly added in an earlier changeset
sql/sql_parse.cc:
Removed old test code (marked with QQ)
Ensure that we have open_strategy set as TABLE_LIST::OPEN_STUB in CREATE TABLE
Removed some IF NOT EXISTS code as this is now handled in create_table_table_impl().
Set OPTION_KEEP_LOGS later. This code had to be moved as the test for IF EXISTS has changed place.
DROP_ACL is required if one uses CREATE TABLE OR REPLACE.
sql/sql_partition_admin.cc:
  New interface for check_if_log_table()
sql/sql_rename.cc:
  New interface for check_if_log_table()
sql/sql_table.cc:
  New interface for check_if_log_table()
Moved some code in mysql_rm_table() under a common test.
  - Safe as temporary tables doesn't have statistics.
  - !is_temporary_table(table) test was moved out from drop_temporary_table() and merged with upper level code.
  - Added drop of normal and temporary tables in create_table_imp() if CREATE OR REPLACE was used.
  - Added reacquiring of table locks in mysql_create_table() and mysql_create_like_table()
  - In mysql_create_like_table(), restore table->open_strategy() if it was changed.
  - Re-test if table was a view after opening it.
sql/sql_table.h:
  New prototype for mysql_create_table_no_lock()
sql/sql_yacc.yy:
Added syntax for CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE
Reuse new code for CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW
sql/table.h:
  Added name for enum type

7e80f1c5dc Bug #49741 test files contain explicit references to bin/relay-log positions
Some of the test cases reference to binlog position and
these position numbers are written into result explicitly.
It is difficult to maintain if log event format changes.

There are a couple of cases explicit position number appears,
we handle them in different ways
A. 'CHANGE MASTER ...' with MASTER_LOG_POS or/and RELAY_LOG_POS options
   Use --replace_result to mask them.
B. 'SHOW BINLOG EVENT ...'
   Replaced by show_binlog_events.inc or wait_for_binlog_event.inc.
show_binlog_events.inc file's function is enhanced by given
   $binlog_file and $binlog_limit.
C. 'SHOW SLAVE STATUS', 'show_slave_status.inc' and 'show_slave_status2.inc'
For the test cases just care a few items in the result of 'SHOW SLAVE STATUS',
only the items related to each test case are showed.
'show_slave_status.inc' is rebuild, only the given items in $status_items
   will be showed.
   'check_slave_is_running.inc' and 'check_slave_no_error.inc'
and 'check_slave_param.inc' are auxiliary files helping
to show running status and error information easily.

mysql-test/extra/binlog_tests/binlog.test:
It only cares whether current binlog file index is changed, so it is ok
with 'show_master_status.inc' instead of 'show mater status'.
mysql-test/extra/binlog_tests/blackhole.test:

95e420c636 BUG#48506 crash in CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS <existing_view> LIKE
<tmp_tbl> with RBL

When binlogging the statement, the server always handle the existing
object as a table, even though it is a view. However a view is
handled differently in other parts of the code thus leading the
statement to crash in RBL if the view exists.

This happens because the underlying tables for the view are not opened
when we try to call store_create_info() on the view in order to build
a CREATE TABLE statement.

This patch will only address the crash problem, other binlogging
problems related to CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS LIKE when the existing
object is a view will be solved by BUG 47442.

19c380aaff WL#2687 WL#5072 BUG#40278 BUG#47175
Non-transactional updates that take place inside a transaction present problems
for logging because they are visible to other clients before the transaction
is committed, and they are not rolled back even if the transaction is rolled
back. It is not always possible to log correctly in statement format when both
transactional and non-transactional tables are used in the same transaction.

In the current patch, we ensure that such scenario is completely safe under the
ROW and MIXED modes.

7e0da4352c BUG#47678 Changes to n-tables that happen early in a trans. are only flushed upon commit
Let
    - T be a transactional table and N non-transactional table.
    - B be begin, C commit and R rollback.
    - N be a statement that accesses and changes only N-tables.
    - T be a statement that accesses and changes only T-tables.

In RBR, changes to N-tables that happen early in a transaction are not immediately flushed
upon committing a statement. This behavior may, however, break consistency in the presence
of concurrency since changes done to N-tables become immediately visible to other
connections. To fix this problem, we do the following:

  . B N N T C would log - B N C B N C B T C.
  . B N N T R would log - B N C B N C B T R.

Note that we are not preserving history from the master as we are introducing a commit that
never happened. However, this seems to be more acceptable than the possibility of breaking
consistency in the presence of concurrency.

43e9d5b3d5 Bug #40116: Uncommited changes are replicated and stay on slave
after rollback on master

When starting a transaction with a statement containing changes
to both transactional tables and non-transactional tables, the
statement is considered as non-transactional and is therefore
written directly to the binary log. This behaviour was present
in 5.0, and has propagated to 5.1.

If a trigger containing a change of a non-transactional table is
added to a transactional table, any changes to the transactional
table is "tainted" as non-transactional.

This patch solves the problem by removing the existing "hack" that
allows non-transactional statements appearing first in a transaction
to be written directly to the binary log. Instead, anything inside
a transaction is treaded as part of the transaction and not written
to the binary log until the transaction is committed.

dcd050c550 Bug #34707: Row based replication: slave creates table within wrong database
The failure was caused by executing a CREATE-SELECT statement that creates a
table in another database than the current one. In row-based logging, the
CREATE statement was written to the binary log without the database, hence
creating the table in the wrong database, causing the following inserts to
fail since the table didn't exist in the given database.

Fixed the bug by adding a parameter to store_create_info() that will make
the function print the database name before the table name and used that
in the calls that write the CREATE statement to the binary log. The database
name is only printed if it is different than the currently selected database.

The output of SHOW CREATE TABLE has not changed and is still printed without
the database name.

73febb3bf9 Bug #35762 Failing CREATE-SELECT steels Table map of the following query
Among two claimed artifacts the critical one is in that the Table map of
a query following the failing with a duplicate key error CREATE-SELECT is skipped from
instantionating (and thus binlogging). That leads to sending a "chopped" group of the data
row-events without the table map head to the slave.
The slave can not apply the only data row events.
It's not easy to force the slave to react with an error in such a case (the second complaint
on the bug report), because the lack of a table Rows_log_event::do_apply_event the data row event
handler is a common situation which normally designates the event has to be filtered out
basing on the repliation do/ingore rules decision.

Fixed: table map creating and binlogging is restored via deploying the standard cleanup call in
select_create::abort().
No error is reported if by chance the table map was not been binlogged.
Leaving this out to resolve with considering how to combine the do/ingore rules with the situation
when erronoulsy the Table_map is not written to binlog.

f56d77dadf BUG#29020 (Event results not correctly replicated to slave in RBR):
The bug allow multiple executing transactions working with non-transactional
to interfere with each others by interleaving the events of different trans-
actions.

Bug is fixed by writing non-transactional events to the transaction cache and
flushing the cache to the binary log at statement commit. To mimic the behavior
of normal statement-based replication, we flush the transaction cache in row-
based mode when there is no committed statements in the transaction cache,
which means we are committing the first one. This means that it will be written
to the binary log as a "mini-transaction" with just the rows for the statement.

Note that the changes here does not take effect when building the server with
HAVE_TRANSACTIONS set to false, but it is not clear if this was possible before
this patch either.

For row-based logging, we also have that when AUTOCOMMIT=1, the code now always
generates a BEGIN/COMMIT pair for single statements, or BEGIN/ROLLBACK pair in the
case of non-transactional changes in a statement that was rolled back. Note that
for the case where changes to a non-transactional table causes a rollback due
to error, the statement will now be logged with a BEGIN/ROLLBACK pair, even
though some changes has been committed to the non-transactional table.

d4671354f1 WL#3228 (NDB) : RBR using different table defs on slave/master
This patch adds the ability to store extra field metadata in the table
map event. This data can include pack_length() or field_lenght() for
fields such as CHAR or VARCHAR enabling developers to add code that
can check for compatibilty between master and slave columns. More
importantly, the extra field metadata can be used to store data from the
master correctly should a VARCHAR field on the master be <= 255 bytes
while the same field on the slave is > 255 bytes.

The patch also includes the needed changes to unpack to ensure that data
which is smaller on the master can be unpacked correctly on the slave.

WL#3915 : (NDB) master's cols > slave

Slave starts accepting and handling rows of master's tables which have more columns.
The most important part of implementation is how to caclulate the amount of bytes to
skip for unknown by slave column.

sql/field.cc:
WL#3228 : RBR using different table defs on slave/master

This patch includes updates to the unpack() methods for the variable
length fields. A new parameter was added (from_length) that is the
value stored in the field_metadata of the table map from the table_def
class. If the value is non-zero and less than what the field on the
slave is then use the from_length else use the original value from the
  field on the slave.
sql/field.h:
L#3228 : RBR using different table defs on slave/master

This patch includes updates to the unpack() methods for the variable
length fields. A new parameter was added (from_length) that is the
value stored in the field_metadata of the table map from the table_def
  class.
sql/log_event.cc:
WL#3228 : RBR using different table defs on slave/master

sql/rpl_utility.cc:
WL#3228 : RBR using different table defs on slave/master

This patch adds a helper method that retrieves the correct size
parameter for the field. This method is used to compare the size as
sent by the master with that on the slave for all types of fields that
can vary in size and storage requirements.

  WL#3915 master's cols > slave

Remove warning message for master's cols > slave.
sql/rpl_utility.h:
WL#3228 : RBR using different table defs on slave/master

This patch changes the table_def class constructor to pass in the raw
data read from the table map and extract it into an array of dimension
size (number of fields). It also adds a method to return the field
metadata for any field. The method returns the data stored in the table
map or 0 if no data was stored for that field. Lastly, a method to return
the results of field->maybe_null() is included so that the slave can
determine if a field that is not on the slave is null.
