d00f19e832 MDEV-371 Unique Index for long columns
This patch implements engine independent unique hash index.

Usage:- Unique HASH index can be created automatically for blob/varchar/test column whose key
 length > handler->max_key_length()
or it can be explicitly specified.

  Automatic Creation:-
   Create TABLE t1 (a blob unique);
  Explicit Creation:-
   Create TABLE t1 (a int , unique(a) using HASH);

Internal KEY_PART Representations:-
 Long unique key_info will have 2 representations.
 (lets understand this with an example create table t1(a blob, b blob , unique(a, b)); )

 1. User Given Representation:- key_info->key_part array will be similar to what user has defined.
 So in case of example it will have 2 key_parts (a, b)

 2. Storage Engine Representation:- In this case there will be only one key_part and it will point to
 HASH_FIELD. This key_part will be always after user defined key_parts.

 So:- User Given Representation          [a] [b] [hash_key_part]
                  key_info->key_part ----^
  Storage Engine Representation          [a] [b] [hash_key_part]
                  key_info->key_part ------------^

 Table->s->key_info will have User Given Representation, While table->key_info will have Storage Engine
 Representation.Representation can be changed into each other by calling re/setup_keyinfo_hash function.

Working:-

1. So when user specifies HASH_INDEX or key_length is > handler->max_key_length(), In mysql_prepare_create_table
One extra vfield is added (for each long unique key). And key_info->algorithm is set to HA_KEY_ALG_LONG_HASH.

2. In init_from_binary_frm_image values for hash_keypart is set (like fieldnr , field and flags)

3. In parse_vcol_defs, HASH_FIELD->vcol_info is created. Item_func_hash is used with list of Item_fields,
   When Explicit length is given by user then Item_left is used to concatenate Item_field values.

4. In ha_write_row/ha_update_row check_duplicate_long_entry_key is called which will create the hash key from
table->record[0] and then call ha_index_read_map , if we found duplicated hash , we will compare the result
field by field.

0140bfac5e MDEV-16127 mroonga/storage.* tests fail with GCC 8
Tests were failing because in TIME_from_longlong_datetime_packed() GCC8
at -O2 assumed that tmp is always positive and used mul and shr while it
used imul and sar at -O1 (where tests passed). GCC8 used multiplication
(by 0x4ec4ec4ec4ec4ec5) and shift to implement division by 13. It could
assume that tmp is always positive, because the function starts with
`if (tmp < 0) tmp= -tmp;`

But this assumption breaks if tmp=0x8000000000000000;
This is invalid value and TIME_from_longlong_datetime_packed() should
never see it, garbage in - garbage out.

It was getting this invalid value because mroonga tried to convert a
NULL key part to MYSQL_TIME. If the key part value is NULL, datetime2
value of it happens to be bzero-ed, which is invalid binary datetime2
value.

The correct behavior is not to try to interpret the key part value, if
it is marked as NULL. But this minimal fix only covers the datetime2 type.

5a1868b58d MDEV-13564 Mariabackup does not work with TRUNCATE
This is a merge from 10.2, but the 10.2 version of this will not
be pushed into 10.2 yet, because the 10.2 version would include
backports of MDEV-14717 and MDEV-14585, which would introduce
a crash recovery regression: Tables could be lost on
table-rebuilding DDL operations, such as ALTER TABLE,
OPTIMIZE TABLE or this new backup-friendly TRUNCATE TABLE.
The test innodb.truncate_crash occasionally loses the table due to
the following bug:

055a3334ad MDEV-13564 Mariabackup does not work with TRUNCATE
Implement undo tablespace truncation via normal redo logging.

Implement TRUNCATE TABLE as a combination of RENAME to #sql-ib name,
CREATE, and DROP.

Note: Orphan #sql-ib*.ibd may be left behind if MariaDB Server 10.2
is killed before the DROP operation is committed. If MariaDB Server 10.2
is killed during TRUNCATE, it is also possible that the old table
was renamed to #sql-ib*.ibd but the data dictionary will refer to the
table using the original name.

In MariaDB Server 10.3, RENAME inside InnoDB is transactional,
and #sql-* tables will be dropped on startup. So, this new TRUNCATE
will be fully crash-safe in 10.3.

ha_mroonga::wrapper_truncate(): Pass table options to the underlying
storage engine, now that ha_innobase::truncate() will need them.

rpl_slave_state::truncate_state_table(): Before truncating
mysql.gtid_slave_pos, evict any cached table handles from
the table definition cache, so that there will be no stale
references to the old table after truncating.

== TRUNCATE TABLE ==

WL#6501 in MySQL 5.7 introduced separate log files for implementing
atomic and crash-safe TRUNCATE TABLE, instead of using the InnoDB
undo and redo log. Some convoluted logic was added to the InnoDB
crash recovery, and some extra synchronization (including a redo log
checkpoint) was introduced to make this work. This synchronization
has caused performance problems and race conditions, and the extra
log files cannot be copied or applied by external backup programs.

In order to support crash-upgrade from MariaDB 10.2, we will keep
the logic for parsing and applying the extra log files, but we will
no longer generate those files in TRUNCATE TABLE.

A prerequisite for crash-safe TRUNCATE is a crash-safe RENAME TABLE
(with full redo and undo logging and proper rollback). This will
be implemented in MDEV-14717.

ha_innobase::truncate(): Invoke RENAME, create(), delete_table().
Because RENAME cannot be fully rolled back before MariaDB 10.3
due to missing undo logging, add some explicit rename-back in
case the operation fails.

ha_innobase::delete(): Introduce a variant that takes sqlcom as
a parameter. In TRUNCATE TABLE, we do not want to touch any
FOREIGN KEY constraints.

ha_innobase::create(): Add the parameters file_per_table, trx.
In TRUNCATE, the new table must be created in the same transaction
that renames the old table.

create_table_info_t::create_table_info_t(): Add the parameters
file_per_table, trx.

row_drop_table_for_mysql(): Replace a bool parameter with sqlcom.

row_drop_table_after_create_fail(): New function, wrapping
row_drop_table_for_mysql().

dict_truncate_index_tree_in_mem(), fil_truncate_tablespace(),
fil_prepare_for_truncate(), fil_reinit_space_header_for_table(),
row_truncate_table_for_mysql(), TruncateLogger,
row_truncate_prepare(), row_truncate_rollback(),
row_truncate_complete(), row_truncate_fts(),
row_truncate_update_system_tables(),
row_truncate_foreign_key_checks(), row_truncate_sanity_checks():
Remove.

row_upd_check_references_constraints(): Remove a check for
TRUNCATE, now that the table is no longer truncated in place.

The new test innodb.truncate_foreign uses DEBUG_SYNC to cover some
race-condition like scenarios. The test innodb-innodb.truncate does
not use any synchronization.

We add a redo log subformat to indicate backup-friendly format.
MariaDB 10.4 will remove support for the old TRUNCATE logging,
so crash-upgrade from old 10.2 or 10.3 to 10.4 will involve
limitations.

== Undo tablespace truncation ==

MySQL 5.7 implements undo tablespace truncation. It is only
possible when innodb_undo_tablespaces is set to at least 2.
The logging is implemented similar to the WL#6501 TRUNCATE,
that is, using separate log files and a redo log checkpoint.

We can simply implement undo tablespace truncation within
a single mini-transaction that reinitializes the undo log
tablespace file. Unfortunately, due to the redo log format
of some operations, currently, the total redo log written by
undo tablespace truncation will be more than the combined size
of the truncated undo tablespace. It should be acceptable
to have a little more than 1 megabyte of log in a single
mini-transaction. This will be fixed in MDEV-17138 in
MariaDB Server 10.4.

recv_sys_t: Add truncated_undo_spaces[] to remember for which undo
tablespaces a MLOG_FILE_CREATE2 record was seen.

namespace undo: Remove some unnecessary declarations.

fil_space_t::is_being_truncated: Document that this flag now
only applies to undo tablespaces. Remove some references.

fil_space_t::is_stopping(): Do not refer to is_being_truncated.
This check is for tablespaces of tables. Potentially used
tablespaces are never truncated any more.

buf_dblwr_process(): Suppress the out-of-bounds warning
for undo tablespaces.

fil_truncate_log(): Write a MLOG_FILE_CREATE2 with a nonzero
page number (new size of the tablespace in pages) to inform
crash recovery that the undo tablespace size has been reduced.

fil_op_write_log(): Relax assertions, so that MLOG_FILE_CREATE2
can be written for undo tablespaces (without .ibd file suffix)
for a nonzero page number.

os_file_truncate(): Add the parameter allow_shrink=false
so that undo tablespaces can actually be shrunk using this function.

fil_name_parse(): For undo tablespace truncation,
buffer MLOG_FILE_CREATE2 in truncated_undo_spaces[].

recv_read_in_area(): Avoid reading pages for which no redo log
records remain buffered, after recv_addr_trim() removed them.

trx_rseg_header_create(): Add a FIXME comment that we could write
much less redo log.

trx_undo_truncate_tablespace(): Reinitialize the undo tablespace
in a single mini-transaction, which will be flushed to the redo log
before the file size is trimmed.

recv_addr_trim(): Discard any redo logs for pages that were
logged after the new end of a file, before the truncation LSN.
If the rec_list becomes empty, reduce n_addrs. After removing
any affected records, actually truncate the file.

recv_apply_hashed_log_recs(): Invoke recv_addr_trim() right before
applying any log records. The undo tablespace files must be open
at this point.

buf_flush_or_remove_pages(), buf_flush_dirty_pages(),
buf_LRU_flush_or_remove_pages(): Add a parameter for specifying
the number of the first page to flush or remove (default 0).

trx_purge_initiate_truncate(): Remove the log checkpoints, the
extra logging, and some unnecessary crash points. Merge the code
from trx_undo_truncate_tablespace(). First, flush all to-be-discarded
pages (beyond the new end of the file), then trim the space->size
to make the page allocation deterministic. At the only remaining
crash injection point, flush the redo log, so that the recovery
can be tested.

2dbeebdb16 Changed static const in Alter_info and Alter_online_info to defines
Main reason was to make it easier to print the above structures in
a debugger. Additional benefits is that I was able to use same
defines for both structures, which simplifes some code.

Most of the code is just removing Alter_info:: and Alter_inplace_info::
from alter table flags.

Following renames was done:
HA_ALTER_FLAGS        -> alter_table_operations
CHANGE_CREATE_OPTION  -> ALTER_CHANGE_CREATE_OPTION
Alter_info::ADD_INDEX -> ALTER_ADD_INDEX
DROP_INDEX            -> ALTER_DROP_INDEX
ADD_UNIQUE_INDEX      -> ALTER_ADD_UNIQUE_INDEX
DROP_UNIQUE_INDEx     -> ALTER_DROP_UNIQUE_INDEX
ADD_PK_INDEX          -> ALTER_ADD_PK_INDEX
DROP_PK_INDEX         -> ALTER_DROP_PK_INDEX
Alter_info:ALTER_ADD_COLUMN    -> ALTER_PARSE_ADD_COLUMN
Alter_info:ALTER_DROP_COLUMN   -> ALTER_PARSE_DROP_COLUMN
Alter_inplace_info::ADD_INDEX  -> ALTER_ADD_NON_UNIQUE_NON_PRIM_INDEX
Alter_inplace_info::DROP_INDEX -> ALTER_DROP_NON_UNIQUE_NON_PRIM_INDEX

Other things:
- Added typedef alter_table_operatons for alter table flags
- DROP CHECK CONSTRAINT can now be done online
- Added checks for Aria tables in alter_table_online.test
- alter_table_flags now takes an ulonglong as argument.
- Don't support online operations if checksum option is used.
- sql_lex.cc doesn't add ALTER_ADD_INDEX if index is not created

0ba6aaf030 MDEV-11415 Remove excessive undo logging during ALTER TABLE…ALGORITHM=COPY
If a crash occurs during ALTER TABLE…ALGORITHM=COPY, InnoDB would spend
a lot of time rolling back writes to the intermediate copy of the table.
To reduce the amount of busy work done, a work-around was introduced in
commit fd069e2bb3 in MySQL 4.1.8 and 5.0.2,
to commit the transaction after every 10,000 inserted rows.

A proper fix would have been to disable the undo logging altogether and
to simply drop the intermediate copy of the table on subsequent server
startup. This is what happens in MariaDB 10.3 with MDEV-14717,MDEV-14585.
In MariaDB 10.2, the intermediate copy of the table would be left behind
with a name starting with the string #sql.

This is a backport of a bug fix from MySQL 8.0.0 to MariaDB,
contributed by jixianliang <271365745@qq.com>.

Unlike recent MySQL, MariaDB supports ALTER IGNORE. For that operation
InnoDB must for now keep the undo logging enabled, so that the latest
row can be rolled back in case of an error.

In Galera cluster, the LOAD DATA statement will retain the existing
behaviour and commit the transaction after every 10,000 rows if
the parameter wsrep_load_data_splitting=ON is set. The logic to do
so (the wsrep_load_data_split() function and the call
handler::extra(HA_EXTRA_FAKE_START_STMT)) are joint work
by Ji Xianliang and Marko Mäkelä.

The original fix:

Bug#17479594 AVOID INTERMEDIATE COMMIT WHILE DOING ALTER TABLE ALGORITHM=COPY

Problem:

During ALTER TABLE, we commit and restart the transaction for every
10,000 rows, so that the rollback after recovery would not take so long.

Fix:

Suppress the undo logging during copy alter operation. If fts_index is
present then insert directly into fts auxiliary table rather
than doing at commit time.

ha_innobase::num_write_row: Remove the variable.

ha_innobase::write_row(): Remove the hack for committing every 10000 rows.

87933d5261 Handle failures from malloc
Most "new" failures fixed in the following files:
- sql_select.cc
- item.cc
- item_func.cc
- opt_subselect.cc

Other things:
- Allocate udf_handler strings in mem_root
  - Required changes in sql_string.h
- Add mem_root as argument to some new [] calls
- Mark udf_handler strings as thread specific
- Removed some comment blocks with code

fdc4779235 MDEV-11371 - column compression
Storage engine independent support for column compression.

TINYBLOB, BLOB, MEDIUMBLOB, LONGBLOB, TINYTEXT, TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT, LONGTEXT,
VARCHAR and VARBINARY columns can be compressed.

New COMPRESSED column attribute added:
COMPRESSED[=<compression_method>]

System variables added:
column_compression_threshold
column_compression_zlib_level
column_compression_zlib_strategy
column_compression_zlib_wrap

Status variables added:
Column_compressions
Column_decompressions

Limitations:
- the only supported method currently is zlib
- CSV storage engine stores data uncompressed on-disk even if COMPRESSED
  attribute is present
- it is not possible to create indexes over compressed columns.

71fa413c16 MDEV-10139 Support for SEQUENCE objects
- SETVAL(sequence_name, next_value, is_used, round)
- ALTER SEQUENCE, including RESTART WITH

Other things:
- Added handler::extra() option HA_EXTRA_PREPARE_FOR_ALTER_TABLE to signal
  ha_sequence() that it should allow write_row statments.
- ALTER ONLINE TABLE now works with SEQUENCE:s

5a759d31f7 Changing field::field_name and Item::name to LEX_CSTRING
Benefits of this patch:
- Removed a lot of calls to strlen(), especially for field_string
- Strings generated by parser are now const strings, less chance of
  accidently changing a string
- Removed a lot of calls with LEX_STRING as parameter (changed to pointer)
- More uniform code
- Item::name_length was not kept up to date. Now fixed
- Several bugs found and fixed (Access to null pointers,
  access of freed memory, wrong arguments to printf like functions)
- Removed a lot of casts from (const char*) to (char*)

Changes:
- This caused some ABI changes
  - lex_string_set now uses LEX_CSTRING
  - Some fucntions are now taking const char* instead of char*
- Create_field::change and after changed to LEX_CSTRING
- handler::connect_string, comment and engine_name() changed to LEX_CSTRING
- Checked printf() related calls to find bugs. Found and fixed several
  errors in old code.
- A lot of changes from LEX_STRING to LEX_CSTRING, especially related to
  parsing and events.
- Some changes from LEX_STRING and LEX_STRING & to LEX_CSTRING*
- Some changes for char* to const char*
- Added printf argument checking for my_snprintf()
- Introduced null_clex_str, star_clex_string, temp_lex_str to simplify
  code
- Added item_empty_name and item_used_name to be able to distingush between
  items that was given an empty name and items that was not given a name
  This is used in sql_yacc.yy to know when to give an item a name.
- select table_name."*' is not anymore same as table_name.*
- removed not used function Item::rename()
- Added comparision of item->name_length before some calls to
  my_strcasecmp() to speed up comparison
- Moved Item_sp_variable::make_field() from item.h to item.cc
- Some minimal code changes to avoid copying to const char *
- Fixed wrong error message in wsrep_mysql_parse()
- Fixed wrong code in find_field_in_natural_join() where real_item() was
  set when it shouldn't
- ER_ERROR_ON_RENAME was used with extra arguments.
- Removed some (wrong) ER_OUTOFMEMORY, as alloc_root will already
  give the error.

TODO:
- Check possible unsafe casts in plugin/auth_examples/qa_auth_interface.c
- Change code to not modify LEX_CSTRING for database name
  (as part of lower_case_table_names)

a05a610d60 Added "const" to new data for handler::update_row()
This was done to make it clear that a update_row() should not change the
row.
This was not done for handler::write_row() as this function still needs
to update auto_increment values in the row. This should at some point
be moved to handler::ha_write_row() after which write_row can also have
const arguments.

1cae1af6f9 MDEV-5800 InnoDB support for indexed vcols
* remove old 5.2+ InnoDB support for virtual columns
  * enable corresponding parts of the innodb-5.7 sources
  * copy corresponding test cases from 5.7
  * copy detailed Alter_inplace_info::HA_ALTER_FLAGS flags from 5.7
     - and more detailed detection of changes in fill_alter_inplace_info()
  * more "innodb compatibility hooks" in sql_class.cc to
     - create/destroy/reset a THD (used by background purge threads)
     - find a prelocked table by name
     - open a table (from a background purge thread)

  * different from 5.7:
    - new service thread "thd_destructor_proxy" to make sure all THDs are
      destroyed at the correct point in time during the server shutdown
    - proper opening/closing of tables for vcol evaluations in
       + FK checks (use already opened prelocked tables)
       + purge threads (open the table, MDLock it, add it to tdc, close
         when not needed)
    - cache open tables in vc_templ
    - avoid unnecessary allocations, reuse table->record[0] and table->s->default_values
    - not needed in 5.7, because it overcalculates:
      + tell the server to calculate vcols for an on-going inline ADD INDEX
      + calculate vcols for correct error messages

  * update other engines (mroonga/tokudb) accordingly

2cfc450bf7 This is the consolidated patch for mdev-8646:
"Re-factor the code for post-join operations".

The patch mainly contains the code ported from mysql-5.6 and
created for two essential architectural changes:
1. WL#5558: Resolve ORDER BY execution method at the optimization stage
2. WL#6071: Inline tmp tables into the nested loops algorithm

The first task was implemented for mysql-5.6 by Ole John Aske.
It allows to make all decisions on ORDER BY operation at the optimization
stage.

The second task implemented for mysql-5.6 by Evgeny Potemkin adds JOIN_TAB
nodes for post-join operations that require temporary tables. It allows
to execute these operations within the nested loops algorithm that used to
be used before this task only for join queries. Besides these task moves
all planning on the execution of these operations from the execution phase
to the optimization phase.

Some other re-factoring changes of mysql-5.6 were pulled in, mainly because
it was easier to pull them in than roll them back. In particular all
changes concerning Ref_ptr_array were incorporated.

The port required some changes in the MariaDB code that concerned the
functionality of EXPLAIN and ANALYZE. This was done mainly by Sergey
Petrunia.

654547b5b4 Fixed problems found by buildbot:
- Better error from check_slave_param
- Better error message from TokuDB if it can't be compiled.
- Marked rpl_mixed_drop_create_temp_table and
  rpl_stm_drop_create_temp_table as big tests to stop timeout
  failures on power8
- Added sync_slave_with_master to semisync_future-7591 to
  ensure that slave is up to date with master before calling
  rpl_end.
- Disabled compiler warnings from connect and mroonga and on
  MacOSX.

Mroonga:
- Fixed bug when testing if file is a normal file that can be deleted
- Marked a lot of date and datetime test to not run on macosx.
  This is because mktime() can't handle negative years and this
  restricts mroonga so that it can only store dates after the year 1900.
