The original code was there to favor index search over table scan.
This is not needed anymore as the cost calculations for table scans
and index lookups are now more exact.
Fixed the following issues:
- Call info with HA_STATUS_CONST to ensure that (key_info->rec_per_key)
contains latest data
- Don't access rec_per_key if key_info->algorithm == HA_KEY_ALG_LONG_HASH
is in this case the rec_per_key points to uninitialized data
- Cleaned up code to avoid some extra 'if' and to make things more readable
- Updated test cases that used 'old' rec_per_key values
In order to fix this bug we need to distinguish whether ha_innobase::info()
has been called from ::analyze() or not. Rename ::info() to ::info_low()
and add a boolean parameter that tells whether the call is from ::analyze()
or not. Create a new simple ::info() that just calls
::info_low(false => not called from analyze). From ::analyze() instead of
::info() call ::info_low(true => called from analyze).
