a19cb3884f MDEV-23511 shutdown_server 10 times out, causing server kill at shutdown
Shutdown of mtr tests may be too impatient, esp on CI environment where
10 seconds of `arg` of `shutdown_server arg` may not be enough for the clean
shutdown to complete.

This is fixed to remove explicit non-zero timeout argument to
`shutdown_server` from all mtr tests. mysqltest computes 60 seconds default
value for the timeout for the argless `shutdown_server` command.
This policy is additionally ensured with a compile time assert.

6a2ee9c8bb MDEV-23032 FLOOR()/CEIL() incorrectly calculate the precision of a DECIMAL(M,D) column
The code in Item_func_int_val::fix_length_and_dec_int_or_decimal()
calculated badly the result data type for FLOOR()/CEIL(), so for example
the decimal(38,10) input created a decimal(28,0) result.
That was not correct, because one extra integer digit is needed.
   floor(-9.9) -> -10
   ceil(9.9)   ->  10

Rewritting the code in a more straightforward way.
Additional changes:
- FLOOR() now takes into account the presence of the UNSIGNED
flag of the argument: FLOOR(unsigned decimal) does not need an extra digits.
- FLOOR()/CEILING() now preserve the unsigned flag in the result
  data type is decimal.
These changes give nicer data types.

bbd70fcc43 MDEV-23379 Deprecate&ignore InnoDB concurrency throttling parameters
The parameters innodb_thread_concurrency and innodb_commit_concurrency
were useful years ago when both computing resources and the implementation
of some shared data structures were limited. MySQL 5.0 or 5.1 had trouble
scaling beyond 8 concurrent connections. Most of the scalability bottlenecks
have been removed since then, and the transactions per second delivered
by MariaDB Server 10.5 should not dramatically drop upon exceeding the
'optimal' number of connections.

Hence, enabling any concurrency throttling for InnoDB actually makes
things worse. We have seen many customers mistakenly setting this to a
small value like 16 or 64 and then complaining the server was slow.

Ignoring the parameters allows us to remove some normally unused code
and data structures, which could slightly improve performance.

innodb_thread_concurrency, innodb_commit_concurrency,
innodb_replication_delay, innodb_concurrency_tickets,
innodb_thread_sleep_delay, innodb_adaptive_max_sleep_delay:
Deprecate and ignore; hard-wire to 0.

The column INFORMATION_SCHEMA.INNODB_TRX.trx_concurrency_tickets
will always report 0.

c86accc7ac MDEV-23108: Point in time recovery of binary log fails when sql_mode=ORACLE
Problem:
========
During point in time recovery of binary log syntax error is reported for
BEGIN statement and recovery fails.

Analysis:
=========
In MariaDB 10.3 and later, setting the sql_mode system variable to Oracle
allows the server to understand a subset of Oracle's PL/SQL language. When
sql_mode=ORACLE is set, it switches the parser from the MariaDB parser to
Oracle compatible parser. With this change 'BEGIN' is not considered as
'START TRANSACTION'. Hence the syntax error is reported.

Fix:
===
At preset 'BEGIN' query is generated from 'Gtid_log_event::print'. The current
session specific 'sql_mode' information is not present as part of
'Gtid_log_event'. If it was available then, mysqlbinlog tool can make use of
'sql_mode == ORACLE' and can output "START TRANSACTION" in this particular
mode and for other sql_modes it will write "BEGIN" as part of output. Since it
is not available 'mysqlbinlog' tool will output all 'BEGIN' statements as
'START TRANSACTION' irrespective of 'sql_mode'.

d7d80689b3 MDEV-15101: Stop ANALYZE TABLE from flushing table definition cache
Apply this patch from Percona Server (amended for 10.5):

commit cd7201514fee78aaf7d3eb2b28d2573c76f53b84
Author: Laurynas Biveinis <laurynas.biveinis@gmail.com>
Date:   Tue Nov 14 06:34:19 2017 +0200

    Fix bug 1704195 / 87065 / TDB-83 (Stop ANALYZE TABLE from flushing table definition cache)

    Make ANALYZE TABLE stop flushing affected tables from the table
    definition cache, which has the effect of not blocking any subsequent
    new queries involving the table if there's a parallel long-running
    query:

    - new table flag HA_ONLINE_ANALYZE, return it for InnoDB and TokuDB
      tables;
    - in mysql_admin_table, if we are performing ANALYZE TABLE, and the
      table flag is set, do not remove the table from the table
      definition cache, do not invalidate query cache;
    - in partitioning handler, refresh the query optimizer statistics
      after ANALYZE if the underlying handler supports HA_ONLINE_ANALYZE;
    - new testcases main.percona_nonflushing_analyze_debug,
      parts.percona_nonflushing_abalyze_debug and a supporting debug sync
      point.

    For TokuDB, this change exposes bug TDB-83 (Index cardinality stats
    updated for handler::info(HA_STATUS_CONST), not often enough for
    tokudb_cardinality_scale_percent). TokuDB may return different
    rec_per_key values depending on dynamic variable
    tokudb_cardinality_scale_percent value. The server does not have a way
    of knowing that changing this variable invalidates the previous
    rec_per_key values in any opened table shares, and so does not call
    info(HA_STATUS_CONST) again. Fix by updating rec_per_key for both
    HA_STATUS_CONST and HA_STATUS_VARIABLE. This also forces a re-record
    of tokudb.bugs.db756_card_part_hash_1_pick, with the new output
    seeming to be more correct.

f30ff10c8d MDEV-22715: SIGSEGV in radixsort_for_str_ptr and in native_compare/my_qsort2 (optimized builds)
For DECIMAL[(M[,D])] datatype max_sort_length was not being honoured which was leading to buffer
overflow while making the sort key. The fix to this problem would be to create sort keys for decimals
with atmost max_sort_key bytes

Important:
The minimum value of max_sort_length has been raised to 8 (previously was 4),
so fixed size datatypes like DOUBLE and BIGINIT are not truncated for
lower values of max_sort_length.

cdc2508ed1 MDEV-22625 SIGSEGV in intern_find_sys_var (optimized builds)
The constructor of Lex_ident_sys returns LEX_CSTRING(NULL,0) if character set
conversion goes wrong, and raises the "wrong character string" error in
the diagnostics area.

The code in sql_yacc.yy did not check Lex_ident_sys::ptr against NULL,
so the execution entered functions that did not expect NULL (and crashed).

Fixing the code to do MYSQL_YYABORT if Lex_ident_sys::ptr is NULL
after constructing.

4102f1589c Aria will now register it's transactions
MDEV-22531 Remove maria::implicit_commit()
MDEV-22607 Assertion `ha_info->ht() != binlog_hton' failed in
           MYSQL_BIN_LOG::unlog_xa_prepare

From the handler point of view, Aria now looks like a transactional
engine. One effect of this is that we don't need to call
maria::implicit_commit() anymore.

This change also forces the server to call trans_commit_stmt() after doing
any read or writes to system tables. This work will also make it easier
to later allow users to have system tables in other engines than Aria.

To handle the case that Aria doesn't support rollback, a new
handlerton flag, HTON_NO_ROLLBACK, was added to engines that has
transactions without rollback (for the moment only binlog and Aria).

Other things
- Moved freeing of MARIA_SHARE to a separate function as the MARIA_SHARE
  can be still part of a transaction even if the table has closed.
- Changed Aria checkpoint to use the new MARIA_SHARE free function. This
  fixes a possible memory leak when using S3 tables
- Changed testing of binlog_hton to instead test for HTON_NO_ROLLBACK
- Removed checking of has_transaction_manager() in handler.cc as we can
  assume that as the transaction was started by the engine, it does
  support transactions.
- Added new class 'start_new_trans' that can be used to start indepdendent
  sub transactions, for example while reading mysql.proc, using help or
  status tables etc.
- open_system_tables...() and open_proc_table_for_Read() doesn't anymore
  take a Open_tables_backup list. This is now handled by 'start_new_trans'.
- Split thd::has_transactions() to thd::has_transactions() and
  thd::has_transactions_and_rollback()
- Added handlerton code to free cached transactions objects.
  Needed by InnoDB.

8447edb747 Specify a new client_plugindir path, to be used during testing
When testing installed packages, the client (mariadb or mysql) can have
plugins stored in a separate location compared to server. This change
ensures that the correct paths are used for the plugin-dir directive in
the my.cnf generated by mysql-test-run.

The directives in my.cnf will be replaced like so:

[client]
plugin-dir=$client_plugindir

[mysqld]
plugin-dir=$plugindir

where $<variable-name> corresponds to the variable name in mtr.

06219c2ad4 MDEV-21599 - plugins.server_audit fails sporadically in buildbot
Fixed a couple of race conditions in the test case to ensure stable order
of events. Also removed all sleeps. Test execution time is down from 18s
to 0.15s.

On disconnect audit event is triggered after control is returned to
mysqltest client. Which means mysqltest may issue more commands
concurrently before disconnect is actually logged.

Similar problem happens with regular query execution: an event is
triggered after control is returner to the client. Which may end
up with unstable order of events in different connections.

Delayed insert rows are enqueued separately and can either be combined
into single event or go as separate events. Reduced number of inserted
rows to 1 to stabilize result.

Also backported 2b3f6ab from 10.5.
