1c27ca4ba4 Made the loadbrm script sleep 1 sec after starting SM, if it starts SM. 
This is to give SM time to init before we try to use it.

4b46f55d6a Fixed a race in storagemanager. On startup it would run a connectivity 
test to verify it can use S3.  The key of the object it tests with is
constant, so there can be interference between multiple SM instances that
happen to be doing this at the same time.  The fix is to include a
UUID in the key.

7bd878de0a MCOL-4236 remove type casting *f to something it's not 
During data retrieval, we were type casting a field type to what we thought was the correct type. Often it was not. Since we're calling virtual functions on *f, there's no need to type cast in most cases. This was a relic from days gone by.
